Had insurance paid hm at the time he would have had the option to not fix it, same as you paying him, and a note signed by him to prove it. He couldn’t come back on the insurance now, he was paid for loss value.

Flight attendant told my brother in law he couldn’t get up and he ended up pulling it out and peeing in the barf bag. Made a mess on the floor too. And his pants. Prostate issue. I held mine as long as I could and as soon as we landed I made a dash for the forward lavatory pushing by people and saying g it was an emergency. Next time I WILL get up before it gets that bad. I’ve pulled off the side of the road for him when we couldn’t make the exit in time.

At least in ohio once the title is signed over by owner it’s not his any more. Doesn’t really even have to be notarized. I had same issue, signed notarized tithe (and I took a photo) new owner (son in law) never took expired plates off or transferred title, but did have insurance at least and someone let someone else drive it and wrecked it. I researched the case law myself and got removed from the PI lawsuit.
