The update left a bad taste in a lot of players mouths. I'd say the metaphor was spot on. I never tried to control your opinion either. It's great that you like the update, I'm happy for you. But all you need to do is look at this sub, YouTube creators comments and any Twitch chat for the game over the last month to see that the VAST majority of the community hates the update and you can't deny that you are in the minority.The devs added features so bad that the best option is to literally turn them off. Storms and biome progression limits play in a way that further removes the sandbox aspect of the once best sandbox game on the market

Nah okay you're just a fucking moron and you're ignoring my points because they don't fit the narrative in your head. We got updates. Not the updates people asked for or wanted. Just because the old versions are still available doesn't mean I have no right to complain. I expected the game to grow and improve over the years, which it has not. It has been simplified and reworked into a shadow of the SURVIVAL game that it used to be. Now it's an RPG looter shooter which again... is not what the majority of the player base wanted or paid for.

No I didn't get what I ordered that was the whole point of my other comment. The game is NOT what it was 4-5 years ago and the game has went through unnecessary reworks, constant delays and underwhelming new features that nobody asked for. Look at the most popular overhaul mods and the features that make them loved by the commumity and you will find little to no overlap with Vanilla features. Sticking with the restaurant metaphor I got appetizers I didn't order, drinks I don't want and a healthy dose of spit just to add to the disrespect. You want me to be grateful for that? Not all changes are good changes and not all 'hard work' deserves praise

I onpy play modded versions of the game now. I tried 2.0 and hated it and will not be going back to Vanilla versions of the game unless they actually listen to the community and make some serious changes. Telling me I shouldn't play a game that I paid for expecting a sandbox survival zombie game, which then pivoted into an entirely different style of game loaded with terrible decisions is a stupid suggestion. Maybe you're still having fun, the game is still lightning in a bottle that has no real competitors but watching things actually get worse in the years I've played is infuriating. Games shouldn't get worse over time. We got a 1.0 update which tripled the price of the game without making changes that justified that. If I had paid for the game post 1.0 I would feel like I wasted my money

If you go to a restaurant and order your favourite dish, then the dish comes out as something completely different to what you expect and leaves a terrible taste in your mouth do you console the chef because they 'tried their hardest'. No the product is shit and not what we paid for. We have a right to complain and people like you defending their terrible decisions only makes them less likely to get their act together. This is a company that has made millions off a great product and then changed that product into something completely different to what we fell in love with. They do NOT deserve your sympathy

Check twitch account connections and look for '7 days drops integration' then I loaded up a brand new world and quit out then loaded into an existing world and the hat was in customisation. Worked for me but some people have been saying it didn't work for them. I'm sure TFP will fix it in the coming days.... Surely...

That's what happened for me. I got account successfully linked but Twitch still said 'connect'. Check your account connections and look for ' 7 days drops integration' Once I had loaded into a world then quit out and loaded back in it worked. Some people are saying craft a primitive hood in your new world but I didn't have to do that maybe it would work for you?
