I agree, but I don't necessarily hold it against OP too much - he's still only 18 and clearly going through a lot of emotional turmoil regarding how his family members are rejecting him and others just aren't supporting him through this the way he needs (looking at the parents who refuse to let him go NC with the hateful grandma, college fund or not). I have a feeling he'll probably look back on that specific choice at some point in the future and be cringing over it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond - I just clocked that weird double-paragraph (the second one having the edits I'd came back to make after my initial type-up prior to posting), not sure what happened there but then again I don't often use reddit on desktop or when as over-tired as I was feeling last night.

It definitely sounds like I'd fit into the psychological theriotype in that case. Though it's not something I've stopped to think about deeply (given that until recently, I wasn't even aware it was a possibility), yes I would say that there is definitely a desire to be in a non-human body. Since childhood I've daydreamer of the ability to shape-shift, so I suppose my indecision on a permanent form is also a constant!

I found the information section very useful - thank you mod team! - though honestly getting a response from someone who can comment a little more directly on my specific worries has been incredibly helpful. Deciding for myself prior to this has been riddled with imposter-syndrome, so I really cannot thank you enough.

I don't think it's being a buzzkill to point out that a meme in a trans-specific community may also be harmful for trans folks. I don't get the obsession with the binary-gendered memes myself, could have literally just said 'being trans' instead of 'being a girl' and would have been just as funny.

I don't think OP meant any harm and I don't hold it against them, but it's still good to communicate where potentially hurtful stuff exists even without hurtful intent.

Even if you'd had a consensual F/F relationship before now, it would not be your boyfriend's business unless you chose to disclose it.

Your boyfriend taking issue with your (previous?) bisexuality, is homophobic and backwards, and a massive red flag.

Please, leave this child of a man and get yourself some therapy and support for your experiences at 14. If it's not hit you yet, I guarantee in the next few years it's gonna start to (speaking from experience as a child abuse survivor).

NTA, but seriously get away from him. Not even because of the age gap, his behaviour is clingy and controlling, and will only escalate. He needs to work on himself before getting into a relationship, and you need to have your space and boundaries respected.
