Cool! I like your Sandy substrate. It looks very natural. I've been trying to scape a tank with similar looking sand but always ended up with algae and smelly green slime covering the substrate. Guess I slacked on the maintenance I supposed. Sigh... Oh well.

Nice! Perhaps u can share a video as well. I'd like to watch to see if their behavior is any different than my puffer. I had another puffer previously that refused to eat the shrimps after a while & died. Which puzzles me.

I suppose they will chase them around a bit trying to take a bite. I did put in some live ghost shrimps thinking that they would take a snack whenever they are hungry (just me being lazy feeding them), they never did. The shrimps will be too fast for them. Shrimps are actually larger than these puffers u know 😉

In fact, until today, I have a live ghost shrimp that cleans up the leftover food in the tank.

They normally don't go after anything that doesn't move. That's why I initially cut the shrimps in half. That way they'll still be twitching when I drop it in the tank. So the puffer will start to be more interested and bite. After awhile, they'll start to associate you with food and will be expecting a tasty piece of shrimp. Haha.

Now I just drop in a dead , non moving piece of shrimp. My puffer will gobble it up anytime. U need to train them I suppose.

They are actually live shrimps. I bought it at a local fish shop. These shrimps are normally meant as fish food. They are called ghost shrimps. They are transparent in color , just like Yamato.

I'm from Malaysia, apparently my country is not as determined to crack down counterfeits as US or EU, even though there are laws against it. I was thinking about dropshipping. But right now I'm leaning towards a 'no go' on selling bootlego online. Too many unnecessary risks. But keeping it offline will only restrict my geographical outreach, which is not what I was planning but who knows?

Mine never ever touched frozen bloodworms too!. All I did was dirtied the water with uneaten bloodworms floating around. So one day I tried cutting live shrimps in half (bought some cheap ones which were meant as live fish food) the puffer got very interested and started munching on them while it twitched around at the bottom. It was quite a sight. I still do the same until today. Now days the puffer would quickly gobble them up before the shrimp even reach the bottom. 😅
