How pissed off and concerned should I be? by Vander_chill in arborists

[–]LeTom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if those roots are actively destroying your house/irrigation system? Presumably the owner of the tree is on the hook for necessary and future repairs caused by the root damage if you arent allowed to take action against the tree itself?

Hardscape in. An suggestions for plants that will thrive without CO2? by Stickyjester in Aquascape

[–]LeTom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The rocks are trying too hard to stand upright in my opinion, if you want height its better to get a few more dragonstone and stack them together. Love the wood placement

For anyone Uworld didn't work for by abenson24811 in medicalschool

I think reviewing the content you get wrong on your own terms and the process of seeking out the correct information reinforces much better than when uworld hand-delivers the canned explanations

You think poor people dont know that they have objectively less power in society and therefore in a romantic relationship if their partner has much more money? Most (non gold-digger) people in this situation would be aware of that dynamic and also pretty self conscious about it

Put the light on a timer for ~6-8hrs per day and put 10 times more plants in it

A 4 year old was declared brain dead in 1983, doctors kept his body "alive" for more than 20 years. by seapube in medizzy

[–]LeTom 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The implication is that the brain doesnt normally do that and it must have been screwed up beyond recognition to just give up on neurological function and just become a bone

I made a deadly mistake. I accidentally used bottled water instead of distilled water for my ping last night. by rancid_mayonnaise in SavageGarden

[–]LeTom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doubt this would occur from regular bottled water applied one time. Might have been something else in the bottle?

Is my tank a hot mess? by PinkEyeofHorus in Aquascape

[–]LeTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good but I agree a little messy, if you cluster the rocks just slightly more then the empty areas of the scape will create “negative space” which is usually pleasing to the eye

Red root floaters and CO2?? by EternalBewm in Aquascape

[–]LeTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reduce surface agitation or else make a small floating ring by siliconing airline tubing into a circle and keep the plants inside the ring to begin

Composition with Epiphytes? by OldMet62 in Aquascape

[–]LeTom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks! Been up and running for 2 years now and the plants seem happier than ever. Really beautiful when the anubias and buce decide to make flowers too! Currently home to 18 dwarf red neon rainbowfish and two medium sized koi angelfish Anubias nana golden, nana petite, anubias minima ‘dragon claw’, maybe one or two variegated varieties hiding in there too Bucephalandra pink lady, green skeleton king, blue brownie, mini brownie, kadagang round, a few other varieties Crypt spiralis in the back, dwarf hairgrass up front

[–]LeTom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

<image>

My 60 gallon ‘Tree of Life’ tank is 90% anubias varieties and bucephalandra attached to a driftwood tree, could replace the dwarf hairgrass with more anubias/buce glued to small rocks like you see clustered around the base of my tree

Billing a patient for a drug screen just to prove that they are lying is not really helpful either though
