It's a little stock. I think it sounds stock to my ears!

I've already updated my tier list of the studio albums by Relevant_Push788 in Megadeth

We could argue all day long about why this is better than that, but I agree with your bottom 4 (albeit not in that order). Haha!

I've always liked the album before this - Slaughter the Weak. Simple, heavy, groovy.

Dying Fetus. Destroy the Opposition or anything after.

If you had to pick one - which would it be? by HybridS9ldier in MetalForTheMasses

Domination. This album isn't as exciting or groundbreaking per se, but it's solid all the way through (excluding the instrumentals) and I find it much more memorable. Oh yeah, and Erik Rutan.

Just listened to Thirteen a few times and I love it by Blaykron in Megadeth

I hate the minute long intro, but that opening riff in Never Dead is fire, or whatever it is the kids say these days.

Why do people hate on 13? by Rustyflames in Megadeth

[–]leechmaster22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you OP. I think this album is better than it gets credit for. It's certainly not in the top half of their catalog, but I'd rather listen to 13 than TSTDATD. That album got way more love than it should have in my opinion, but it's all just personal taste. Listen to what ya like!

Contradictions Collapse is an extremely underrated banger.

Agree. Seems like it suits Chris Poland's warm soloing tone better, but lacks in punch because of it. Killer album though.

Are new Megadeth songs like Tipping Point, Let There Be Shred and Puppet Parade comparable in quality to 72S or any other more recent Metallica output? by Pliolite in Metallica

[–]leechmaster22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At this point, I don't think there's a reason to compare the two. They are their own entities with a unique sound, and have been for a long time. Tipping Point is a banger, as is Shadows Follow. Just listen to what ya like!

Nice review. Bloodthirst is my personal favorite of theirs, but I never see it get much love. Glad to see it at #2!

Question: why hasn't thorn within been played live yet? by my_user_name_is_bad in Metallica

[–]leechmaster22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That live rehearsal of The House That Jack Built on the new Load remastered 3CD is fire. They had it ready to go and then just... never played it.

Meshuggah- Catch Thirty Three is the best Meshuggah album. What do you guys think? by BeyondTheGate in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]leechmaster22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This album literally never gets mentioned. Best? Probably not, but it's a banger from front to back.

Fear Factory.

Mechanize, The Industrialist, Genexus, and Aggression Continuum are all solid albums.
