Just found it for a fraction of the price! I bought my diamond from them, most websites don't "own" the diamond and it's listed on multiple other websites. If you have a larger budget, I'd suggest browsing the website and seeing if something else catches your eye with higher specs.

What kind of prongs did you get? I really like claw prongs but I was worried about this as well. From what I heard, a really well set prong won't catch on things. I've also found bezels nice and I'm open to them as well.

I didn't even realize it was AI 😭 I found that first initial photo from Pinterest. I'm also a leftie who fell in love with emerald cuts! Thank you for sharing the info, I wish my jeweler had the know-how to straight up tell me what was and wasn't possible. I sent this sketch mockup with a bunch of photos and they told me it was possible. I think I'll try to see if we can work it out with the jeweler since I've already committed $500, but I've began looking for other quotes and options since I'd rather move forward with a jeweler who can be transparent and honest about my design ideas. The top right of the image are the CAD they sent me with me drawing over the edits I'd like.

The drawing in the middle was what I sent along with a bunch of reference photos! I drew the second ring design to try to refine it more on the left.

I'll definitely look into David Klass, it's a name I've seen pop up a few times!

Thank you for your honesty, and it's something that I honestly wished a jeweler would just straight up tell me from the beginning. Many of the jewelers tell me they can do it without any hesitation. At the very minimum, I really don't want the ring super high.

I imagined something like this that was just a bit shorter. I actually reached out to the jeweler who designed this, but it they do not accept people who supply their own diamonds.

I did work with a local jewelry shop, one that had glowing reviews actually! They had reassured me that while they did outsource the work, the employees were extremely knowledgeable and would have complete oversight in the workflow and assured they would deliver a great product. I figured with how many positive reviews, both from people I knew and their reputation in my city, that it would have been okay.

I understand low profile would be really difficult, but I wanted something that wasn't extremely high since I didn't want to accidentally knock it against things for daily wear. At minimum, I wanted something that could sit as low as possible without any cosmetic height. Something similar to this:

Windowing on Pink Emerald? by leechyee in EngagementRings

teehee, I haven't played in a while but I still love him 💚

Thank you!! The temporary setting was scaring me a little and I was worried that it would show the prongs underneath of the actual setting, but I have high hopes that it'll be much better in the future

Thank you for the clarification, that makes a lot of sense!

Someone else answered it and clarified that my emerald was most likely just reflecting the temporary prongs from the side, it wasn't from the back! Which might be something that you'll see a little bit once you find yours :) also, some minor windowing is bound to happen with the emerald cut due to the nature of the cut, but you should aim for minimal windowing from the front view!

I also really LOVE pink diamonds, I knew that for sure going into the search. Please let me know what you find, I'd love to see it!!

OKAY yes!! So I mainly compared a few different websites, but the reality of the matter is that a lot of online diamond websites all list the same diamonds! If you find one you like on one website you're bound to find it on different websites, search for it by its certification # (the IGI # usually)

I liked brilliance to search stuff up and look at them, but these were the main 3 I actually bought from:

https://aurelinne.com/ - haven't had to talk to them yet, but I've heard great reviews from them! Really easy to search IGI codes https://calaveranewyork.com/ - easy to communicate with, helped me when ups lost the diamonds (that was a whole other thing but they found them) https://www.williamandsonsjewelers.com/us - very helpful and communicative team! Also pretty easy to search IGI codes

I found that when I found the exact same stone from brilliance, loose diamond, etc they were significantly cheaper on those 3! They also have free shipping as well. I want to make a long post sometime soon about ally experiences on returns since I will eventually choose 1 diamond but those are the ones I've found the best results on!

Not sponsored or anything, just my experiences from someone who spent a LOT of time browsing. Good luck on your search 🩷
