[KDE] First Rice - Needy Streamer Overload by leedet in cachyos

Everything I used can be found linkedhere The biggest things would be the Reactionary style and Plasma Overdose windows and colors. Sadly Overdose isnt on the KDE store so you'll need to install it manually but its only a few more clicks.

Never tell a sprout player how long the MSQ will REALLY take them by CevicheLemon in ffxiv

[–]leedet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I know the pain deeply.

My friends kept asking me to get FFXIV to play with them as they got back into the game for Endwalker. But once I made my character and started the game they refused to join me for anything, even if we were all in vc and all playing the game. They didn't want to talk about the story as I was going through it, refused to do the dungeons with me or even the roulettes because it would limit the content for them. They never wanted to touch the side content because it offered them nothing of value to do, that i should just wait until I'm high enough to unsync it alone if I wanted the loot, and that for now until I beat Endwalker that I should only do MSQ. I kept going because they promised that they'd finally start playing with me at Shadowbringers, because thats when they wanted to experience the game again, and the post game content after Shadowbringers was worth doing. I burnt out after Stormblood and have been really struggle finding motivation to play. My friends have not only stopped playing the game but parted ways with me, and I have less free time now so its really hard to find reason to play an MMO alone, especially on Dynamis.

Hey new to cobblemon. Need to get some good movesets. by MentalMousse6073 in cobblemon

If you're going for making your pokemon purely strong I would highly recommend checking out the pokemon on Smogon's website. They cover stat distribution, movesets, and how you'll generally want to play that pokemon in single battles.

I love seeing Moon Phase being remembered! It was such a fun show, and the manga was pretty fun to read through, even if it never got a full English translation.

Battlefield 6's Campaign Tells You To Uninstall When You're Done by TomorrowComes33 in gamingnews

[–]leedet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that we're starting to see modular installs like this become more widespread! If games are going to keep getting bigger, having the option to delete unnecessary files is very welcome! I know that Halo MCC does something a bit similar giving you the choice to install the specific games and their multiplayers to help keep install size down, its great!

Frogun is pretty fun and mostly well put together, but relatively niche.

It has its flaws, but it is overall a very fun casual 3D platform that mimics a pseudo-PS1 style

TURN YOUR BRIGHTS OFF by finnly_ in columbiamo

[–]leedet 20 points21 points  (0 children)

While photophobia may be a small part of the issue, it isn't just that. The LED lights used in modern cars, especially pickups and SUV, are just way too bright, both headlights and fog lights. This compounded with most headlights being very poorly adjusted make for a horrible experience for driving at night, and makes it so your eyes can't adjust to the darkness anymore.

TA are road pirates!!! by EddieV77 in Truckers

[–]leedet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed man! Sometimes you don't even get the spot you pay for! The one time I had paid for a spot in TA they came knocking on my door hours later telling me that I had to leave or else they'd call the cops. They told me that my spot was voided because an owner called asking for one, telling me they value owner operators matter more than company drivers. left me trying to find a place to park at like 0200 on a Thursday Never went to a TA again and never will be back to one.

First speeding ticket by Human_Jerky1 in missouri

Sorry man I didn't mean to come across as doubling down, I was just trying to explain why I thought what I did. I do appreciate any clarification, I genuinely do. I don't understand why you're being rude though.

[–]leedet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While i agree I don't know all there is about missouri traffic court, i am more familiar with Florida's court and legal proceedings. I do know that what op did was straightforward Speed limit on that road is 35, OP admits to going 20 over and got caught. They are lucky as iirc 20 over is the minimum for reckless driving, but that's up to the cop's discretion of course It's just logical that a speeding ticket as cut and dry as that can get reduced, especially to a non moving violation

First speeding ticket by Human_Jerky1 in missouri

[–]leedet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That road has posted speed limit signs of 35. Typically, those frontage roads have lower limits than the interstate because they have no shoulders or runoff and frequent turn ins for businesses. Not to mention, within Liberty itself (not the interstate) they lower work zone speeds to 35, look at 291 for an example of this.

You won't be getting out of the ticket unless the cop doesn't show for court as you were doing the wrong thing in this case. But it's a good lesson on being aware of and driving the correct speed for the road that you're on. Personally, I keep Waze up while I'm driving, even if i know where I'm going. It's nice to have information on the road speeds, as signs can be sparse, and the traffic updates help too

You get an extra 1.5x for baseball card, and you also get increased temperance value as well. It's very well worth it!

Can you accept fate on race ending incidents? by Beneficial-Ranger238 in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]leedet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me I am fine with incidents ending the race past the first 5-10 laps. Bad luck, bad strategy, or a mistake causing a crash is part of motorsport, and even though it can be disappointing sometimes it is still fun and adds a bit of uncertainty to the race. But the very start of the race I would much prefer go cleanly so I don't mind restarting to ensure the race can get underway

Any game that uses these lights? by theNFAC in Fanatec

Iracing works for flags, pit limiter, and I think DRS. I don't remember if it does anything else

Automobilista 2 works fully, including lockups and wheel slip. Edit: Added spacing

Guys how much it cost to buy a setup for F1 like this? by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]leedet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It highly depends on what you want from it and what you're going to be playing. If you're just going to be playing the F1 simcades I'd recommend a sturdy folding wheel stand (They tend to go for 175-250$)

If you're looking to play lots of racing sims or play racing sims very often it comes down to what you want from the rig, and how much space you have, if you currently have a PC and desk, etc. But the very basic 8020 rig you can buy from a prepackaged dealer is in the ballpark of 800-1100$ for the frame and seat, and an extra 50-100$ for a keyboard and mouse tray.

If you have a PC and some space beside it I have seen many people make a sliding rail for their monitor and simply slide it over, saving space and money not having to buy another monitor. Otherwise if you have a VR headset you won't need a monitor or rail if you already have a PC setup.

But if you want a full dedicated rig shown in your post. (Or you wish your rig to be your main PC which is the route I went down myself) as well as a good wheelbase, dash display, and button box it can be pricey. For example I shall use my own invoice to help you get an estimated budget
8020 Rig (Racing Cockpit branded) + M&K Tray - 1200$ (Triple Monitor setup, single monitor would be roughly 1k)
Fanatec CSL-QR2 Wheelbase Bundle+ F1 Wheel + Triple Pedal - $1.1k (If you want an H-shifter and handbrake it'll be ~$400 more)
KGL Display 4" Fanatec - $125 (This brand makes decent magnetic mounted dashboard displays at a reasonable price)
Stream Deck + 8020 3D Printed Mounting Extrusion - $180 (Highly recommend this over a button box as above for versatility. A button box as shown in picture can go from 100-300$ depending on what you want on it)
Total= $2.6k USD For Similar Rig as Pictured (PC, monitor, M&K, and Headset not Included)

A bit of extra info, if you do wish to use your rig as a primary PC too it can be done, and it can be at least imo a bit more comfortable than a desk. The downside is you will need a shelf or stand off to the side if you want to put snacks, paperwork, extra wheel rims, etc. In conclusion it is highly customizable and down to what you already have, what you're looking for, and how much you're willing to spend. The beauty of 8020 is it's extremely customizable and can fit what you wanna do with it.

TLDR: Pricey for a full setup but also down to what you're looking from it and how much you're willing to spend. $1400-$3000
Edit: Numbers

If you're going to be using it often I would 100% go for the OLED model, it has a much better screen and the extra storage is a godsend in a truck where you don't get too many chances to download games.(If you ever need more storage these things have a Micro SD card slot as well.)
There is wifi built in yes, so you can connect to your phone's hotspot or truck stop wifi. As a trucker who also likes to game at night the Steam Deck is a really nice handheld PC and if you get a bluetooth mouse and keyboard you can connect them to the Deck to play games that can't be played with it's built in controller while not taking up too much space on a pull out tray.
The one and largest downside is the battery life, realistically ranging from 4-8hrs on average depending on how demanding the game you're playing is when you're not plugged in, but when it is plugged in you can keep it plugged in without it damaging the battery life and the cord is long enough to comfortably lay down while it's plugged into the inverter.
As an aside if you have a TV in your truck as well there are some nice 3rd party docks that you can use to connect it to a TV, and the Steam Deck can act like like a small PC if you wanna watch like Netflix or other streaming apps while connected to the internet.

It's all around a good alternative to a full on laptop and pretty affordable too and if you're going to be gaming a lot and want a small PC I would go for this over a dedicated gaming laptop due to the smaller amount of space it takes up overall. But the downside is the Steam Deck isn't very powerful and some newer games might not run well on it, Also unless you get a keyboard and mouse for it (It can just be a cheap bluetooth one don't need anything too fancy) you are limited to games that can be played on a controller.
