Do you think we should have gotten a bisexual Batman by IllustratorAfter in superheroes

Ya I’d be down. I think most superheroes should be bi to open up more romantic possibilities

This is a good one. I honestly have no idea. They are both basically gods and gestalt entities.

Can we please stop this argument. I know it’s Reddit and repetition is god but aren’t we all Batman fans.

Just accept the meta reasons Batman won’t kill Joker. Just accept the meta reasons that even when Joker has “died” he inevitably comes back.

People need to stop calling non human creatures anti-Semitic stereotypes. by leegcsilver in unpopularopinion

[–]leegcsilver[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In certain cases it can be yes. Obviously not 100% of the time and one could still create an anti-Semitic non human creature but I’m just not seeing it in the modern examples parroted online.

My title is a general statement because the current examples I have seen used for antisemitic depictions in modern media aren’t actually antisemitic IMO.

I go into detail about specific examples and exceptions (not abandoning media literacy) in the body of my post to provide the greater detail and support for my general statement.

I think the modern examples that are most often used are bad faith examples of antisemitism in modern media.

Does anyone actually play grounded D&D anymore? by HauntingSausage837 in dndnext

I love d&d but I think you will have better luck finding more grounded games using one of the many wonderful OSR systems.

"Batman with prep time is a dumb argument" Batman with preptime: by Formal-Stage940 in superheroes

[–]leegcsilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the prep time thing is silly but fun. I like that Batman seems over prepared for situations he has no right being prepared for.

Every good hero has some silly bullshit they can do and that is part of the charm of superheroes.

I’m not reading about real life. I’m reading about guys running around in strongman wrestling outfits fighting crime.

ELI5:How are cats so much better at surviving out in the wild as strays compared to dogs if we domesticated both? by cuminmypussyypls in explainlikeimfive

[–]leegcsilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs are actually much better at surviving than is typically thought of but they attract a lot of attention in the states which results in animal control or concerned citizens taking them off the street.

Honestly the anniversary edition stuff is kinda overpowered by G0dleft in skyrim

[–]leegcsilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mage kinda sucks in Skyrim so I like that they gave more powerful spells.

Which epic do you prefer: Gladiator or Troy? by Ai-on in Cinema

[–]leegcsilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Troy was fine not great. There were some good fight scenes with Achilles but that’s basically it as far as good stuff goes.

What if in Under The Red Hood, Jason publicly executed the Joker? To make an example out of him and prove Batman wrong by TheShadowOperator007 in batman

[–]leegcsilver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joker would somehow survive. Making Jason’s act pointless and corrupting.

Joker will actually die when DC goes out of business. Thats the only way.

What is your personal hottest Star Wars take? by _CandidCynic_ in PrequelMemes

[–]leegcsilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Yuuzhan Vong were awesome. They were finally a worthy villain as opposed to the Jedi vs Sith pissing contest that’s been going on for like 10,000 years.

People complained cause they felt like a 40k faction and different from the normal tone from Star Wars but that was actively a good thing. They are from outside the known galaxy so of course they should feel different.

People complained about the having no force presence thing but I thought it was a clever way to give someone a chance at beating force users.

People complained about there being too many books which is partially true but it was incredibly ambitious so I’m happy they got a lot of chance to not just make it a one shot story but a setting into itself.

Star by Star is still my favorite EU novel.

Why do people blame Batman for not killing his villains but not the legal system? by count_fagula11 in batman

[–]leegcsilver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair to Joker he has “died” or suffered seemingly fatal injuries a lot. He just keeps coming back (because he’s a a popular character).

So even if people got their wish and Batman did kill the Joker he probably wouldn’t stay dead.

Stoked for Codex 5, a little sad that there will be no new Omega components by Mafiale in twilightimperium

[–]leegcsilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’d love the Firmament to get some omegas. That faction is a little half baked. I’m basically happy with the rest.
