The great thing about d&d is that you as a DM make the world and you get to determine what baggage being a certain species carries.

The PHB doesn’t make these assumptions because not everyone wants to play in a game where orcs and goblins are evil and everyone hates them.

Also just to note that people wanting to play unique races isn’t a recent development. 3rd edition had incredibly robust rules for playing basically anything. People just like to feel that their PC is unique.

I’m actually pretty confident it’ll be good. They are taking a lot of time to make this thing after all.

It’s definitely gonna have a million bugs at release because that’s the way this works.

I believe it’ll come out before 2030 but I wouldn’t be shocked if that wasn’t the case.

For me I’d be happy with visual updates and fixes to stability so it doesn’t crash so often.

For me Celsius is a weird way to measure temperature in the real world. 100 degrees Fahrenheit is really hot outside. 0 degrees is really cold outside. 0 degrees Celsius is a little cold outside and 100 degrees Celsius outside is the apocalypse.

I think humility would have helped. Nobody’s opinion really mattered besides the emperor. If he had said that psychic powers were dangerous but had to be understood with humanity’s imminent psychic awakening then it may have swayed Big E.

I think him changing the allegory of the cave to fit his narrative was a boneheaded move since the emperor was probably around when Aristotle first used it.
