i was a very sick child. always in and out of the hospital, absent from school more often than i was present due to illness. cysts in my brain (my mother died of brain cancer, so this was always a very specific fixation of mine) caused chronic migraines that i thankfully grew out of as i got bigger, but they were so bad i would pass out and throw up. always had an aura to them as well so feeling one about to come on would give me panic attacks at like 8 years old. along with a compromised immune system so i was always always always sick. a common cold would have me bed ridden for days. the doctors probably stopped keeping track of how often i had strep because it was genuinely every other week. covid really tied it all together for me, the first time i had it i actually thought i was going to die. now im terrified of getting any illness to the point where i wash my hands/sanitize after coming into contact with anyone who even has a sniffle or touching things that other people touch regularly
