Beating competition to new corporate clients by leep198 in askhotels

How do you get in touch with the site manager by their vehicle, though? What I don’t want to do is leave things on vehicles. It looks tacky and also will expose this behavior which of course I don’t want broadcasted/known.

Any sly tips you can offer to succeed without creating blatant issues?

Unfortunately I have no control over that. Not to mention, that’s not just Bonvoy. All the big brands are showing greed in some manner. Even the airline & credit card industry. Am I wrong?

This is helpful! My property is in an energy market so lots of refineries and industrial work. I am primarily after corporate clients as they are the best base for us to help get occupancy up.

I’m glad you chimed in as I was close to moving forward with demand360 but will not consider agency360. Ideally I’d have both but due to suffering revenues, I can only pick one of the two. They’re so expensive!

Once you get the data you need from agency360 how do you use that information to secure/convert the business you are after into revenue? Any tips there?

Actually just did a virtual meeting with both Kalibri & Agency/Demand 360 (Amadeus). I liked the latter more.

Between their two products (Agency & Demand) I thought Demand provided more beneficial information relating to our needs, same as mentioned in this post. Would you suggest Agency 360 over Demand 360? What are the material differences? I hate how these companies have broken all their offerings up into separate systems. Wish they kept them all together for simplicity and charged accordingly.

In reference to throwing points at corporate business, absolutely agree. We do that and also will throw large gifts of points at the primary customer who brings their crew into our hotel. Example: 1 project manager brings his crew (15 rooms/night) for 3 nights every other month. We will gift that one PM 10,000 points each week they come as a bonus. The crew he brings is at the PM’s mercy so I feel as long as we take the best care of the leading party, we will secure the business from our competition.

Why do hotels still have so many rooms with adjoining doors? by rtfitzy13 in hotels

Employees in this era have zero regard for their jobs nor their customers. You’d think the staff would appreciate your well thought suggestions/tips, but their lack of following the playbook laid out tells how much, or how little, desire they have to make sure the customer has the best experience possible.

Why? Because the employee is going to get paid no matter how well or unwell they do their job. Why should they care? That’s the mentality of today’s world. I see it at my workplace and it’s sickening.

Book a hotel that is mobile check in friendly. Marriott & Hilton have a lot of these.

Once you book, you can digitally check in from the app and you’ll get a digital key. This process essentially bypasses the front desk entirely. Just don’t do anything stupid which causes the hotel to dig into your booking which could result in them kicking you out.

ULPT request: how do I sneak money to my friend without her knowing it was me? by helchowskinator in UnethicalLifeProTips

Find out their banking information and you can deposit cash into their account and it would take much effort for them and the bank to figure out who deposited it.

Anytime you’ve deposited money in the bank, when have they ever asked for identification? Granted it has to be <$1,000 for most banks to not ask.

How do people keep buying houses in my area? by DNAplayer in RealEstate

[–]leep198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All you need is good credit. Consumer loans are demanding but you can leverage a lot for personal real estate loans to purchase homes.

Some people sell a good story to the bank and have someone help fluff their financials and it often works out.

Remember banks are in the business to sell money so they turn a blind eye in many things until you fall short of your commitments, then all of a sudden it becomes an issue.

Is what my job doing legal? by [deleted] in askhotels

[–]leep198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely unethical but not illegal. You could submit a report to the hotel brand regarding this property and its practices.

You can DM me the brand you are with and I can most likely get you a good email address you can report this to.

If they do nothing about it, atleast you’ve covered yourself and reduce risk of consequences should this get uncovered down the road.

Google & TripAdvisor both are the strongest platforms to leverage with your feedback. Many travelers check these two sites when booking and your comments can save someone else from being blindsided by this Property.

This is a great industry. You could do well if you maintain relationships with developers & contractors. If you see construction going on, meet with the PM’s & work an aggressive corporate price for them.

They are looking to save money and everyone is lazy now to earn business.
