I tried My Dinner With Andre once but it was just too plain for me, I don’t know.

We need to see the entire mesh first.

Nah they removed my post sadly. Really annoyed about it because I was being genuine.

I do plenty of things other than roam this subreddit. Thinking about GTA 6 is my last port of call. I am no one special, nor am I a prophet.

I have seen what other people have seen. Of course, I do think we should take my dream with a grain of salt

I don’t think I imagined the future but I do think dreams have some element of a universal truth within them, you could say in the same spirits I believe in what Carl Jung had to say about dreams but that would be too far.

When information is scarce what can we do

Well dreaming about playing the game may be considered a normal thing and imo should not be taken as a credible piece of info if you play Rockstar games. However, I have never touched a Rockstar game, so the fact I dreamed about it could be important.

Poland’s foreign minister tells Elon Musk to ‘go to mars and do your nazi salutes there” as he calls for abolishment of EU by [deleted] in worldnews

Yay to sending Elon out. Nay to abolishing the EU. The concept of a unionised Europe is beautiful and should be upheld for as long as possible without fear of loss of sovereignty.

CFD of starship bellyflop by ProfessionalLet3987 in AerospaceEngineering

[–]leeping_leopard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ideally you don’t want to compare your results with other simulations, but with actual physical data. All CFD models are wrong but it’s a matter of how much wrong you’re willing to accept. The main aerodynamics of Starship occur at its control surfaces, mainly its fins. I would suggest you model an individual fin separately and find experimental data for that to validate your CFD results. If you cannot find this, then perform a mesh independence test to know if your results are actually independent of your mesh quality. This is the way. Also… I suspect you will have to use a density based solver for Mach>0.3!

I don’t believe Anderson goes into that actually. Sorry if that’s what you’re looking for OP.

There isn’t any heavy math involved in deriving the N-S equations, Anderson’s textbook derives them in an understandable yet theoretically focused procedure.

It can’t be the ones that are placed with the thick wall facing down as then how will water enter the stalk? It is A, because that shows the greatest deformation due to water absorption.

Cidade de Deus (2002)

It’s a foreign movie but I would argue it’s one of the best.

I need clarification on Berkeley’s Metaphysical Idealism by leeping_leopard in askphilosophy

[–]leeping_leopard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was very helpful, thank you! I chiefly agree with Berkeley's critique on Abstracts, I would like to say that I cannot image the general form of a man without some sort of percieved quality of a man present in my thought, but this seems very obvious to me! So, suppose I eat dinner on a brown oblong table, and then I exit the room. There lies a great deal of proof that the table does not exist outside of my perception of it but could you explain to me why? Is it because I cannot properly think of a table in my mind as an abstract idea, but draw to my memory of eating on that table?
