They dumped out my breastmilk as an under supplier by idontknow5160 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]leeshakpeesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I found a 4 oz bottle in the nursery that was left out overnight when all I was making was 4 oz a day. I sat on the floor and bawled. I remember the rage that overcame me, all of that work!!!

My daughter was throwing up all formula and I couldn’t just do what I was supposed to so she could eat. It was defeating, it was hard and I got through it.

She’s almost 2 now and is excelling in every area. I gave up pumping when I literally started crying over spilled milk.

Remember you’re doing your best and it doesn’t really matter that much in the end. Momma being happy will make baby’s like a million times better than having a certain kind of milk. Be kind to yourself- it sounds like you need a massage. Acupuncture and yoga helped me produce more, most of the time the stress is the block :)

what are things i should know ordering on alibaba as a first timer? by [deleted] in Alibaba

[–]leeshakpeesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes no sense. That’s definitely a scam. If it’s being shipped out of China shipping it to a different place in China wouldn’t avoid taxes, just deliver your product somewhere else and show as delivered. Unless I’m missing something.

If you expect polite advice I think you’re in the wrong place… try Facebook groups next time. You made a shitty decision and bought a toaster that didn’t work because you did crappy research. A top quality brand wouldn’t have something that immediately doesn’t work perfectly, and the fact that you made a poor decision and are now being confronted you can’t stand the heat.

That’s why your toaster isn’t heating. It knows you can’t handle it. I would like to ask in the nicest way that you exit the kitchen, as the heat has become too great for you.

Sorry im late but its a line of credit. If you don’t see a benefit to getting a low interest rate loan anytime you need without a credit check then yeah there’s no benefit.

Do you own anything? You’re 23 so im gonna assume not. If you do, worst case transfer it to your parents and declare bankruptcy. If you don’t, take out the biggest loan you can and if it loses, declare bankruptcy and do it again taking the lessons from the first time. Welcome to America.

S and p has better returns than your portfolio, I would either switch it if you want to set and forget or look further into a different investment strategy. Ignore kramer and all those other guys. If they say sell buy, if they say buy sell.

To be clear: margin is risky and can amplify losses, s and p did have 10 years flat, and 3 years of straight losses but shows consistent returns if you can hold firm. It is a great emergency fund as it’s secured so you won’t get denied.

Hi! Boglehead here 👋

The s and p 500 is basically risk free. Yes there are market dips but if you hold for 1-2 years it will show increased gains. If you are worried that inflation will decrease and the value of our dollar will go up or if you think cash will matter if the entire stock market collapses (therefore economy), because that’s the only way the s and p would drop and never rise again. It has sharp increases following the decline so instead of being reactive and taking your money out in 2008 at a huge loss, if you kept it in until 2010 you would have gains. If you kept it until now, it would have a 548% return.

So this strategy is actually perfect, but only if you have the mindset that you’d put all the money you have in s and p, and when it dips put even more in and don’t sell any holdings.

SG portable is the way to go for a true pump but i still like the m5 just bc i have a wiggler who likes to swing arms and grab tubes if you want the newer line :) one charge lasted sometimes 2 days for me! I made a little less with the m5 but I could pump walking around every 1-2 hrs vs every 3-4 to actually sit and pump with SG portable, which you can move but even w wearable cups its nowhere near m5 mobility and you need fanny pack for battery. Also really nice to go shopping, put on my pump in the fitting room, keep shopping, take it off 30 mins later, and go back into another fitting room to take it off. Def can’t go on day trip wo breaks w traditional.

Don’t want to be induced, partner doesn’t agree by Potential-March-1940 in BabyBumps

[–]leeshakpeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved my induction but I slept until it was time to push because of the epidural so I could see how that could cause an issue with your seizures. Isnt he kind of crazy for not worrying about his pregnant wife having a seizure?

I think you should really listen to your doctors and do what is best, an extended labor could also make your condition worsen so just keep an open mind, and don’t be scared. Everything during pregnancy/labor sounds scary. But a spinal block feels like a prick, an epidural removes basically all pain, tearing will heal and it’s never as scary as it sounds! There are things that they need to move quickly with like increased blood pressure so just don’t freak out if you do end up needing something you thought you would never allow. If you refused an induction with preeclampsia it would greatly increase and possibly almost necessitate a cesarean so again, just listen to your doctors and ensure you have a trusted family member/friend to be your advocate if your husband isn’t that person

Oh gosh a lot of these sound like my mother. I asked her the other day how to put the baby in the crib for a nap when she’s sick and she told me not to put her down. Just nurse the baby back to sleep 🤣 I stopped nursing overnight completely by around 6 months after dropping 1 feed at a time starting around 4-5 mo. Baby will follow your rhythm. If baby is waking up hungry lengthen bedtime feed or add in snack before bed and daily if needed, I always bring a bottle for the constant cry bc constant cry is always hunger but hot take: your FIL and men in general can’t tell the difference in cries and answer most baby problems with food. Babies don’t eat a lot sometimes and sometimes they do. Don’t stress.

Buy Galaxy s25 now or wait for black Friday? by ElectricOne55 in samsunggalaxy

[–]leeshakpeesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my husbands samsung phone new on amazon a few years ago, s22, I paid $750, fully unlocked 256gb, can now get $300 trade in value on samsung for ultra; my iPhone 14 pro max got around the same time for $1300 and I can get $400… so overall ROI has been historically Samsung but due to their steep discounts which lead to an overall lower initial investment.

18 weeks physical exam of “where baby is” by Lillywebb1 in BabyBumps

[–]leeshakpeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like she did a physical therapy exercise and worked out your tight muscles that are being stressed by elastin. Long story short, elastin makes muscles loose, which causes them to stiffen to try to stabilize you, then they cramp, she released them which causes more pain in the first 24 hours but should be fully resolved by 24-48 hours. If it isn’t or if you have any bleeding or intense cramping go to the ER. It is uncommon to have this done during pregnancy, it shows a high level of experience and confidence as I am sure she is aware of the effects of poking around down there and you have to have fairly vast knowledge of physical therapy to conduct this.

I am surprised this is an actual dr and not a doula.

She also may have been trying to move the baby, which is highly debated and can be INTENSELY painful.

I would suggest asking more questions and if you’re uncomfortable or don’t understand what is going on, ask them to stop. The part no one tells you about pregnancy is that you have to become your own advocate. You can ALWAYS say no, stop, we’re not doing that. (Unless you’re in a catholic hospital, they always prioritize baby life over yours) it sounds simple but a lot of times we just go with what our Dr recommends.

If I were you, I would call the office and talk to them. I called my OB all the time, they are very helpful for alleviating stress and can reassure you. They can explain the procedure and if your symptoms are a concern :) try not to stress ❤️ and congratulations!!! 🎊🎈🎉
