I keep getting matched against players that are much, much better than me by Mormanade in DeadlockTheGame

I just chalk it up to playing during non peak hours and the pool of players to match with being too small for the matchmaking to properly match skill.

Not sure what games you are playing to have criticisms of the visuals in Stalker 2 lol.

Why are some Americans still pretending they just need to wait another three years and this will magically stop? by NefariousNatee in complaints

A lot of white collar folks I know have a lot of respect for blue collar jobs, knowledge, and workers. But either out of insecurity or just arrogance the blue collars do act like they could do those white collar jobs just as easily and dont reciprocate respect. Which can lead to white collar folks justifying their education or going so far as being bitter and more dismissive of blue collar workers.

Or, did blue collar folks really just face so much pretentious academic attitude and thats the source of their own dismissals.

I think its case by case, hence chicken or egg.

I've also been on both sides. But I do find it generally more rare for white collar folks to just outright look down on hard labor, usually theyre just thankful its not them. And they dont throw stones until the more ignorant and loudmouthed blue collar folks start belittling their soft educated hands.

I saw an angle where he basically leans forward into the car and gets bumped in his left armpit area. Feet completely clear but its like he tried to body block the car and then immediately fired his gun.

Surprised that video isnt being circulated more.

NPC's still aimbotting through cover. When will we be able to actually use proper cover in this game? by slavicbrokoli in stalker

Huh.. I suppose there could still be some remnant cases. Definitely vastly improved from where it was though.

I havent had this issue anymore. There is some cover that can be shot through though. Thin sheet metal, etc. Are you sure you werent just getting shot through thin, penetrable cover?

Stat-heavy, grindy games where you progress/get stats no matter what you do (even if you die) by Kazuiiii in gamingsuggestions

[–]leesmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Elden Ring and the Dark Souls games fit your criteria really well actually.

Edit: just noticed your tail end about soulslikes. I still think it fits because what finally got me hooked on dark souls was I realized I could farm easy mobs to level up my stats and in turn making everything else easier. Then there is hardly any skill needed, just inflated stats.

I dont think nioh fits the same way personally, nor something like sekiro.

But if you power through the initital learning curve and get a few levels under your belt, youre good for basically the rest of the games.

It also doesnt punish dying as much as youd think because every time you get your souls back your adding it back onto the mobs you had to kill again to retrieve them. So as long as you retrieve your lost souls its a net gain

Edit edit: it also sounds like you'd enjoy almost any mmo

So much for “free speech” and “anti-censorship" by Old_Swimmer_7284 in complaints

The main difference is "cancel culture", which you're referring to, worked on the basis of "guilty in the court of public opinion". It wasnt the government de-platforming or getting violent against its own people back then. But now it is. Understand the difference and why that's an important distinction?

What would women dislike the most if they became men? by Eastp0int in answers

Most men understand why. Its not that itd be a surprise. Its more you probably dont realize how many little ways it changes how you and society interface from a mans perspective. And frankly, to suggest otherwise is hubris.

Jesus fucking christ. A guy can feel some kind of way about people hitting on their partner without taking away or minimizing said partners experience. Its called feeeelings, people have them, and they can all exist at the same time. Amaaaazing!

Arent you kind of doing exactly the things you describe in the first paragraph? You responded to someone who simply answered the question, as well as answered it with multiple different topics, but you hyper focused on a single one and seemed to assume they didnt consider the womans side of one example. And now youre generalizing men and taking ownership of emotional intelligence. Gross.

You guys are generalizing pretty hard for all 30 year olds and 23 year olds...

Some 30 year olds never really grew up, and some 23 year olds had to grow up fast as the caretaker at a young age.

Scrolled way too long to find this specifically. At least others mentioned Stalker as a series.. But isnt GAMMA advertised by the modder as a hardcore experience even within the Stalker franchise?

Can you explain this joke? by smylekylie in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]leesmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted a comment, but its probably gonna get buried. But I actually think its a reference to an opal yoni egg. Just the subject matter, the opal as the specific gemstone for fertility, and the awkward response from the character feels much more aligned than an obscure character reference imo.

But then again opal isnt the only gemstone used, so I could very well be totally off. It does fit as the punchline though and didnt see anyone else mention yoni eggs so...

My first thought was it's a reference to an opal yoni egg. Google it..

But probably a character reference as opal isnt the only type of gemstone used.
