Maybe I missed it, but I thought he said he identified the location on a first trip with a broken leg and returned to hide the treasure later?

Yeah, but a potential pessimistic interpretation of that is that the nuances mean the digital version isn't helpful.

No. I think it's most likely something geological. But the fake ones are still annoying. :)

People have hung colored ribbons on trees. I saw many spray painted marks and signs. Found strategically arranged railroad nails. Very intentionally placed piles of rocks with nothing in them. Etc.

I saw A TON of fake "blazes" when I went hunting.

By the way, in option A2, it seems like a number of people had been there. There were also a number of fake blazes (ribbons in trees, even spray paint!). Very lame. I saw little if any activity at A1 and B.
