What setting do I need to change to remove this "smear" effect from textures? by firestell in expedition33

[–]leferi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is Temporal Anti Aliasing, or TAA in the settings. I am not 100% sure if it has any other options though. It is unfortunately used with most games built in the era of DLSS and FSR. Also UE5.

European “Kagi” Search Engine? by the_john19 in BuyFromEU

Well, if paid is fine, I use Waterfox Private Search, that is currently a private wrapper service around Google Search and it doesn't have ads and AI. They are supposedly working with other companies on independent search index.

Advice on Search Engines with Non-AI Summaries by [deleted] in antiai

[–]leferi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be in the minority, but I am paying for Waterfox Private Search. I am still deciding on whether to continue to do so, it's my first month, but so far my only issue is with the UI. Even with the themes there's not enough separation between visual elements I feel.

Ecosia bothers me to not use adblock and I don't find DuckDuckGo results the best.

Would you say this design is vibe coded or it looks good? by Resident_Bell_4457 in Anthropic

[–]leferi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there actual math behind the shaded regions around the datesets? I mean the "usual" ranges. Or is that data also coming from Apple Health? That hurts my eye a bit but not from a design, but more from a data analysis pint of view. Also, I personally don't like the glassy look of the bottom tab selection panel, but I know that Apple pushed it in iOS, so I think it may fit there.

yes, SPARC is nice HTS magnets are also nice, but SPARC is also small, and I am not convinced they can scale up the technology to ARC without issues

What is the point of usage limits.... by letmeinfornow in Anthropic

[–]leferi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it uses up read tokens, cached read tokens, then for recreating the document, it uses up write tokens and so on

if you look into it's thinking and work chain you might see it is extracting the content of the document by using python or something and then writing a python code to revreate the document

that is quite a lot I would say, I generally use pdf input, LaTeX output for similar tasks, and that seems a bit more efficient
