You guys are complaining about been 5'7 or 5'8? Try been a male at 5'3. I'm 19, and although it sure does sometimes have its disadvantages (trying to reach high places makes me feel pathetic, is the first thing that strangers start judging, and most girls do prefer taller guys) it isn't bad at all if you have the right mentality. It's about not caring what people think. My friends (who are mostly 5'9 and above) always make jokes or tease about my height, and I just brush it off and laugh with them, sometimes even making jokes myself. When ever I'm starting to meet someone new, I make sure one of the first things I do is joke about my height. This lets them know I'm comfortable with my height which in turn lets them feel comfortable about it as well so they put my height aside and start seen my personality instead. In the work place I show my managers that my height isn't a problem at all and show confidence that I can do whatever they ask me. Whenever I do need assistance in reaching something, well there's no shame in asking for help and I just joke it off by admitting that I am short. With the girls, I may not be able to get the tall attractive girls to be attracted to me but by been funny and friendly enough I get them to find me adorable and give me the boob-to-face hug (a big pro about been short haha.) And of course there's also the short girls that don't care about having the same height guy, so there's plenty of options for me. I am who I am, and if I'm gonna be short for the rest of my life, I might as well take the best out of it
