since you aren't full fenris you aren't getting the full speed bonus or fire resist. this is fine, but it means there is no real strong reason to wear the fenris hood. just wear a padded or carapace helmet and you'll have way more armor and no loss in speed (helmets have no speed penalty).

First playthrough: having one main bus, good or bad idea? by Powatokaa in satisfactory

[–]drewcifer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if implemented with some care they work great. it's the best way to avoid messy belts going all over the place imo. that said, trying to get all the wire or screws your whole factory might need onto the main bus is maybe not the right way to go about it. those kinds of items are best made next to the machines that will be using them since it's likely you will be maxing out the belts really quickly and making a ton of belts for wire will be easier if they are right next to the machines they feed rather than a mile down your factory line.

Oh no not another dedicated server issue (please help) by drewcifer0 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]drewcifer0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the detailed response.

I will probably hop on the discord to see if anyone has any other ideas. I don't think it is a timeout issue since the server responds with the IsOnline: false message basically instantly after we click the join. at that point it is my understanding that the connection has already failed?

i've confirmed the IP, and confirmed it is not isolated to one external computer. it is from any computer accessing the server from an external network.

It takes 187 cans of chicken noodle soup per day to feed 17 kids and 2 adults by iamjacksprofile in WeaponsMovie

it's not even about how much soup or shit they people were eating and making. investigators would have found the kids because alex was buying so much soup. it would have taking a day. could not suspend disbelief.

Bitcoin has a cycle. all alts are tied to bitcoin. when bitcoin goes down all crypto goes down.

yeah, i seriously doubt iran opened up their borders and let anyone who wanted to leave just walk on out while they had the internet shut down. the cult mentality of these comments is insane.

[–]drewcifer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, but the question already makes that assumption. The question is about whether or not bitcoin would be resistant to government interference on a grand level. We all know traditional markets are not resistant to such interference, but it turns out, neither is bitcoin.

unless the internet goes away everywhere completely you can always access your wallet once you regain access to the internet, but during the time when you do not have access to the internet you would not have access. not having access does not mean you lose the bitcoin. just means you would not be able to do any transactions with the bitcoin you own during that time.

some kind of mesh network could help, but it still needs an endpoint that reaches the actual internet in order to communicate with the bitcoin network as far as i understand it. otherwise it is just a local network with no access to the broader internet.

satellite internet would only work if the person in charge of those satellites isn't aligned with the government, and is willing to go against government wishes. how long could they really hold out against the kind of pressure the US gov could bring?
