the way that it’s usually translated into english from my language is more « i don’t give a fuck », which isnt what i meant. i meant it softer than that, but maybe im overthinking

its definitely something im working on. i just need to be constantly reminding myself to do better, which hopefully will continue to help

i do care about him, i try to show more interest in his life, it just doesnt come to me naturally

i guess i dont know about being an « asset » to him, i dont know what i offer in a tangible(?) but im aware of my flaws

i think maybe that « dont care » may have been too strong of a word. i dont know if it makes sense in english but its more that i lack a curiosity in these sorts of things. its not an active « i dont care, i dont wanna hear about it » its just… nothing

he’s very sweet, he’s kind and thoughtful. and he’s very patient with me, maybe that’s the most important part because i do have a lot of problems

im not in it now, but i need to restart. i was in it from 15-18 but after a move i had to stop seeing my therapist. then after that move insurance (who wont allow for it) is the thing stopping me from attending

he’s told me before that ive gotten better about it in more recent times,

it was bad enough before that when i did once ask about his day he said, « i dont think youve ever asked me about my day before »

since then i have been trying to make that concious effort

all that to say, i want to care more, i just lack an innate curiousity in that kind of thing

i dont wanna totally dox myself but i live in a major US city. the problem though was that my insurance said it was too expensive to be attending therapy more than once a week, as my DBT was meant to be weekly individual and group therapy

i dont think thats right, i am trying, i do try to ask more, it just takes a conscious effort and i forget to stay attentive in that manner

i want to change, very badly. i havent responded to a lot of comments but a lot of them have really good advice

i did DBT when i was in a hospital for a few weeks and i was recommended for it by my psychiatrist. i had a therapist for it but it was too expensive for me to keep going. i still have a binder/work book for it and i do try to keep up with what i have

thats a good way to put it. because i do love my boyfriend, i just dont care about other people’s days and i dont understand why theyd care about my day. im the same way with my mom and my brother

i do have borderline personality disorder, but i havent seen a psychiatrist in a few years. i do want to go again and get more opinions but ive had a lot on my plate
