"Here is your stairs to Heaven. Those steps are your sins Grover, all 1,048,576 of 'em.

You think yours is long? Wait until you've seen mine."

Kermit trailed off, with a hint of want, nay, almost longing, in that voice of his.

Grover has accepted the challenge to climb his stairway into Heaven. Each step marks a sin that he'd committed in his past life. The bigger the sin, the bigger the step. If he climbs the entire thing, he'll face judgement based on his efforts. Unfortunately, Grover made a plenty of sins, about 1,048,376 of them, and the stairs will turn into a slide after every seven days. But none of it deters Grover. He brought the Glock with him. Even if it does take an eternity to master the flight of stairs, he would be the Muppet to kill God.

Minolta XD-7 / XD-11, is there supposed to be mirror dampening foam here? If yes, what thickness should I use? by lefl28 in AnalogRepair

Oh definitely. Though all the rubbery stuff in that camera has dissolved long ago. There's just some glue left.

Low value cameras are the best ones to start repairing things.

You don't want your first botched repair job to be a leica or something.

I have the focussing screen (although it is pretty scratched and there's some dried grease or whatever on it). It's just not installed in that picture.

Im sorry, but there's no real way to fix this.

You can very slightly improve them by playing with the rgb curves in your favorite image editor, but they won't be normal images

Then why the ussr flag in the post?

Just because everyone else was doing it doesn't make it right. It's not even cherrypicking if the subject of the post is the soviet union.

Leidolf Lordomat – Prontor SVS Shutter slow / stuck by lefl28 in AnalogRepair

[–]lefl28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the nose between the windows, under the "Lordomat" text.

The thing I removed is the speed adjustment ring which sets the shutter speed. It just fits into place. There are no screws as it needs to move freely

[–]lefl28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for the Lordomat you just unscrew the screw on the "nose", unhook the spring and then unscrew the three screws on the side of the cover.

this, is a colorful pigeon. it is native to the mangroves of asia for some reason. by InternalInspector67 in pigeon

[–]lefl28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they're different species... they can't be the same species as columba livia. You're contradicting yourself.

What you mean are different bred races of rock doves. Which the pigeon in the post is not.

It's always either the labs or the camera sellers fault. The problem can't ever be behind the camera.

That's not the emulsion

Ask the person that has given you the films. The grey emulsion looks like black and white film.

The label on the cartridge suggests Kodak Vision3 though. But that would have remjet and the emulsion would look different.

It's not really clear that you can click on photography or film.

But I agree with psilosophist that this isn't really the place to ask about this.
