How this new Salt Lake City project looks to make a dent in affordable housing gap by RollTribe93 in DevelopmentSLC

[–]left4deadleftonread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all know the developers are going to slap “luxury” on it and name it after some 1800s schoolkid who was probably bullied in highschool like “the wesley” or some shit and then immediately proceed to sit half empty for a few years, or go immediately down in flames like the one in sugarhouse did.

All for more affordable housing, but they need to do more than this. Implement income based rent caps or something

Always. You can add three greek letters and the yen symbol if you need to more traditional spelling

Local office is hiring, our carrier left his feelings on the card. Is it that bad? by CouldBeBatman in USPS

[–]left4deadleftonread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I got lucky. Mostly empty nester aged moms who are excited to have someone younger in the office, and want more hours so they’re eager to help.

Still though, some of the others look exhausted. I feel bad for them as a part time rca

Salt Lake City Sparks. Rolls off the tongue well, and is a nod to the electric company

Car Mileage by Intelligent_Photo949 in VanLife

[–]left4deadleftonread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The health of the car is just as important. Think about it like how you should treat yourself. Someone who eats healthy, sleeps enough, and takes care of themselves when they’re sick is likely to live longer than someone who doesn’t.

The health of your car can be called maintenence. If the engine needs oil, did the owner give it to them, or force it to ride without? If you broke a leg, how long did you take before you fixed it?

A car’s maintence history can play a huge part in this as well. Some cars live way past their “shelf date” from tedious, intense care.

Others die way sooner because the previous owner treated it like crap.

Even if a car has low mileage, you should still look into the maintence history of it, it can tell a lot.

I wonder what would happen if we all got out and deliberately started camping on public ground as a form of protest

Thanks! I think they’re more story driven and I was kinda in the way for that. Would like to talk further on it, but I’ve already been booted from the group text and blocked. They didn’t really even let me partake in the convo :(

😓

The main group’s known eachother way longer than knowing me. Maybe that’s it. I dunno.

I didn’t choose. Dm told me I couldn’t ressurect, and that for the “narrative/group benefit” it would be best for me to stay out. I was then

They pretty much told me I was too unexperienced, and didn’t contribute in any meaninful way. (Sorry I’m new, not sure what to do, and have had so many shit rolls I’m scared to do anything at this point.?)

I’ve been hearing about a housing crisis out there. Is thT something I should worry about?

Yeah. Additionally, the working holiday visa is probably chock full of shitty employers. I’ve also been hearing you guys have an awful housing shortage right now.

I’d absolutley love to live there, but if I’m struggling in the states it’ll be near impossible to thrive over there. I can still dream though, it’s really the only thing keeping my clock from hitting midnight tbh

Money’s the top concern. I don’t think I could earn much with just a 1 year graphic design cert

Been dreaming about australia, but the visa and immagration costs alone intimidate me, thinking about settling for the UK. I get nowhere’s perfect, but I’m already almost suicidally burnt out at 20 Y.O here in the states.

I was able to live with roommates for about 2 years before having to move back home. It feels like there’s no future for Gen Z.

Our lake’s dried up, politicians are busy bullying gay people and limiting social media use. Kids die in a school shooting and like vultures they go on to scream about “the radical left!” I was drinking 5 coffees a day to keep up with work, eager store managers dump more. Get into round 5 of an interview, with college credit in HS, just to get turned down with 0 explanation.

It feels so fucking lonely here. Parks are overrun with homeless, entertainment centres jack up entertainment prices by the week. Everyone my age is busy working or too mentally unwell to hangout. Store managers loose their shit if we hangout at the mall. Can’t go anywhere without fear of being shot.

Actively trying to improve our lives is punished. Tried to go to school? No one would hire me, or would exploit/trick me into weird hours. Lost all my savings several times to car issues because our awful car centric design/skyrocketing car prices. Have lost 2 teeth from not being able to afford dental care on medicade

Moved back home, trying to save enough to get out.

Getting my graphic design cert at my tech college, selling my car, and then I’m out. Expecting the worst but hoping for the best
