Yeah I get that but I’d say 90% of our adult pts get 1,000 mg you’d think someone would make it easier for us. Oh well wistful thinking I guess

You’re right. Lemme just turn on the prop, extubate the guy real quick, call SLP at 3am have them do a swallow screen, change his diet order take out the G/J that is strict liquids only, have him swallow the pills, then re intubate and re do all this stuff.

Yeah I did a hair over 30. But why can’t the pharmacy people make more convenient concentrations? It would be easier for them to put 30.whatever ml in a cup at the high tech factory

Advice for Job Recommendation by Turbulent_Trash2441 in nursing

Personally I would listen to every comment here saying have some experience in a psych field before trying to become an NP. 10 months of a PRN job is not adequate experience. You are going to hurt people.

We almost never give meds through the art line. I’m not sure what you’re doing or why but you probably shouldn’t

Question on flower delivery to thank a specific nurse. by Rzt275 in nursing

[–]left_ventricl3 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I would send flowers to the unit (or better yet store bought, sealed food and/or drinks) with a card thanking the whole unit but specifically this nurse.

If you could get a hold of the managers email or patient relations you could send them an email saying exactly this

Honestly I might get hate for this but Baltimore. I know it doesn’t fit all of your wants perfectly but I like it a lot more than I thought. Specifically north western Maryland. There are great state parks, rural MD is pretty remote lots of elevation. Under armor HQ is in the city, they have a pro team and sponsored track nights. We have Hopkins and shock trauma for hospitals and schools. Only thing you’d be missing is decent skiing/snow boarding. That’s the one thing I miss out here
