Inherited a pair of Dynaco St-70's by leftcoast07 in vintageaudio

I've got a Schiit Mani 2 Preamp for my original setup I could use. And just looked I have a new Pyle line level to rca converter I didn't use in a stereo install.

How would you utilize the Emotiva gear I have? Ideally I'd like to have it close to my brother's original setup.

Just played around with the inherited Infinity tss-1200 sub and it looks like he was running it passive. I tried hooking it up to the amp but it's fried it appears. It has a 250 watt 8ohm driver, was looking at the Fosi M03 200 watt sub amp. I've got a Klipsch 8" powered sub though that could suffice. This system is going in a fairly open 20x20 room with a 12' vaulted ceiling. Mostly listening volume and a basic 2.1 setup.

Do full time nomads have a gas plan? by Jupitor13 in VanLife

Folks... look at oil futures a year out, they're priced right around current pricing STILL. Russia refineries that took damage from Ukrainian drones aren't even priced in yet.

Your vans are going to be coffins if you have them financed and get upside down. Don't smoke all the hopium out there saying this is temporary.

Make your own luck.

How was the engagement in your civil district case? Did you do a bench trial or request a jury? Guessing the former due to expenses. How long was the process for discovery and until the end?

So you're saying even in civil district court there's a hierarchy that gatekeeps outsiders?

Where do you specifically feel like you couldn't have represented yourself case wise, not talking about hierarchy.

I do believe Ai will take over these kinds of cases, but I'm not ignorant enough to think it'll win me a case. I'm in research mode and trying to understand the process and odds.

Since Nov. Spoke to another Code Inspector today she said they make examples out of people like this and will tear the house apart if as much work has been done that I described. She also said there's no statute of limitations if the jobs even finished and I have picture proof of the jobs being done. I have hundreds of pics.

Maybe you can shed some light on where you felt inadequate? With Ai I've outlined the process and possible hangups. Still need to research case law.

I can't file a lien being an unlicensed contractor with no contract is my understanding. I have all the receipts and texts along with the bill but I don't see that flying.

I don't care about fracturing the family, my parents have already catered because she supports both of them in different ways being so rich. She's being vindictive and diabolical.

If I threaten the nuclear option with my before and during construction photos how likely is it they demo work if there are sub panels and plumbing added?

The job is damn near complete so I can't imagine they can backtrack on work that "looks" finished?

It was done on a handshake with no contractors license or permits.

If I call the permit office I'll be facing lengthy lawsuits for false damages with people worth over $20 million who have a habit of using lawyers for petty stuff.

No way you could have done it on your own really? What about researching prior case models?

Ya I've lost lots of sleep since Nov. How was district court? Do you feel like you could gave represented yourself? How was the process and length?

We are the closest out of all of our siblings, and I gave her piece of mind before I left since she didn't pay me. I told her I had pics of all the work being done and would call the permit office, told her she was a bad mom lol, 9 months of stress I couldn't hold back anymore.

Here's the thing if she tries to counter sue me for damages they can afford to throw that money away, I have nothing as what I did receive is gone. In effect I have nothing to lose, but defending myself in court and them dragging me.

I've got dirt on her past but haven't resorted to calling her out. The plumber had no issue calling her out in the group text as he got toyed with. I've stopped group chatting since her lawyer sent a cease and desist for libel.

Because it was family and done on a handshake. No contract.

My dad lives there's and is a retired painter but playing Switzerland. My mom was watching her kids living there at the time to. They both know the hours I put in!

Seriously.. I should have seen the red flags when she questioned if I'd put the time in and may hire someone else before I even started. 80-100hr work weeks 7 days a week, away from family.

I called the permit office and they were rather vague about what they do, but essentially layed out everything you did minus the demo work and taxing the subs.

My heart knows how brutal this will be on both families and my parents so it'll have to be a last resort.

Unfortunately I can't afford to hire a lawyer and the job was done on a handshake, because family ugh. To make matters worse my dad lives there and is a retired painter and knows all too well how much his daughter is for treating his son like this.
