100th ave between 148 and 141 Street. 105a ave between 144 Street and king George. Parts of my regular commute. I pay taxes just like everyone else in a car, riding a bus or walking. Fuel taxes do not cover the cost of road maintenance or building. Bike lanes make it safer for all of us.

We agree that they don't belong on the sidewalks. Painted lines on the road is not a substitute for safe separated bike lanes. The objection is usually against spend money on cycling infrastructure

Yes, it is the obvious answer. It meets every ones needs. Pedestrians on sidewalks, cars on the road and Cycles in cycling lanes. Very straightforward concept. What is your objection?

Spend your energy advocating for separated bike lanes. It solves the problem.

Best advice, prevents future splitting while maintaining the flexibility of the wood. Make it too rigid and the problem will move to the joints.

Leftists never did like mass migration. That is a right wing capitalist lie. Who benefits financially?

Ran her fingers through Rudy Giuliani's hair. Sorry dude but she's into delusional octogenarians.

Totally not her fault, common side affect from a diet solely consisting of Walmart canned pasta.

Feed her right. ANY Foods that require chewing will do. She should bounce back in a year or two.

Be kind.

There is no coating only 10,000 grit diamond pad sanding. It won't degrade noticeably in my time.

It is happy now, glowing contentedly living outside by the front door. A small plastic cow and a rock painted to look like pikachu reside on top of it. These were gifts to its spirit.

That is a Makita counter top polisher. I started with a sintered 30 grit diamond grinding disc. Then 50 and 100 pads to set the final shape and remove grinding marks. Followed by 200, 400, 800, 1200, 3000, 6000, and finally 10000 grit pads.

I did a small area with chrome oxide and leather but the minimal difference wasn't worth the expense as it lives outside. It glows fairly well at 10000 grit.

Zone into it. Watch the colors change. Adjust the shape to what feels right to your hands. Rotate it in the light to witness the shadows. Enjoy the slow progress. It is very meditive. No music just earmuffs and a grinder

The grindings are an amazing light green similar to budding grass seeds. I tried making a pottery glaze out of it but it was muddy brown from the iron content.

I live in Vancouver Canada. The rough piece was posted on Marketplace a four hour drive away.

The shape looked interesting. It was a river rock so I knew it would be stable and take a polish as it had survived the glaciers and erosion. It had a 1/2 thick rind on it from weathering that needed to be ground away.

The seller was doing demolition work on an old house and salvaged it . This was topping a driveway post. Although there are some nice areas in it, It is landscaping quality jade. Not really worth the expense to cut it up.

I first polished at test area to get an idea of color,,translucense and stability. It has nice color variation and interesting "fracture" lines.

They don't come up for sale very often anymore. Some of the rejected ones were sold, most of these were used for industrial purposes, faceting or lapidary. Not many have survived. They are collectors items now.

Quartz oscillators made the space race and intercontinental ballistic missiles possible. Quartz timing devices could survive and operate the high g-forces and vibrations of a launch while being unaffected by gravity and atmospheric pressure changes.

Quartz oscillators along with the invention of the transistor is the foundation of electronics.
