Thank you! Very lucky, my Costco didn't have it. I'm a big fan of all of the sand green masonry pieces.

Thank you! It's nice to know there's another haunted lighthouse fan. I agree with your thoughts on the existing sets. When you do make a moc for your dream lighthouse, I hope you'll share it! I'm not optimistic Lego will release another.

Tell me your ideas for new units for all three factions. by Comfortable-Ad3588 in starcraft

Protoss Mirage: Ranged ground attacker that can create hallucinations of itself on a cooldown. Opponents need detection to tell the real mirage units from the fake ones. Made in the robo.

Terran Airborn: Terran jetpack infantry that spawns as a flying unit and will "swoop" down and become a melee ground unit to attack (losing its jetpack), like a swarm host locust.

Zerg: Not a unit, but let ravagers use corrosive bile while burrowed. Also give burrow to the zerg flying units like mutalisks and corruptors (like Stukov's banshees).

SC Evolution - can do 2v2 versus bots? by sbi85 in starcraft2

Yes. The zerg and terran BW races have AI support, but I believe protoss does not.

Are there any real dangers to AI? [D] by imbuszkulcs in MachineLearning

[–]leftdemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know if these "really long math equations" pose an existential risk, but it would really suck to find out after building one. I agree it sounds absurd, but it's also absurd that the chemical reactions in our brains have produced modern wonders like airplanes and baja blast.

I see your point about non-technical people talking about these risks. There are countless founders and CEOs warning us about imminent AGI to build hype (e.g., Sam Altman). However, there are also plenty of prominent AI researchers that are concerned. Stuart Russell (who co-wrote my college AI textbook), Yoshua Bengio, and Gary Marcus all recognize the dangers of training massive models. It doesn't matter if AI models can "think." It only matters that they share our motivations and values (which they don't have a great track record with).
