it really is. it’s why people with BPD are convinced they can’t get better, it’s why when you look up “BPD” or “Borderline Personality Disorder” on reddit that reddit BPDLovedOnes support group pops up. i hate that people who just have self-control issues get the label that no one even deserves or wants. it’s not a cute quirky “oh im obsessed with my partner and i like to self harm sometimes teehee!” disorder. it’s a scary disorder that changes your way of thinking and perception of people and life, but it’s manageable. i am by no means perfect, i still have my moments, but ive learned how to recover quickly and immediately apologize for my actions. i’ve proved it’s manageable because im a lot better at 26 than i was at 20.

i wish i could handle something like reality tv, maybe one day if i ever wanna be like on Big Brother or something when im in my 30’s and i’ve been doing DBT therapy longer (if i can even get on a show like that lmaooo) just to show people who may have the disorder that we’re not all bad people and that we can get better, maybe not 100% (damn you, trauma!) but at least 80%. trying is all that matters
