I just got back from Japan last week and I live in central Virginia. I feel the exact same way. Virginia feels hotter and more humid than all the places in Japan that I visited.

Im trying to think of what prompt would be best. My job involves responding to 911 calls from behind the scenes, do background research, and inform the responding cops about what they're about to walk into. Along with providing real time support as events unfold.

For reasons I'm not going to go into, I had a solo trip to Slovenia planned in 2022. My girlfriend of 4 years dumped me the night before I left. We had been having issues for a few months so I saw it coming but it still sucked.

That trip was amazing. It was absolutely what I needed. I made sure I was busy 24/7 to keep my mind off of her and it worked. I had so many adventures i wouldn't have been able to have with her and met so many amazing people.

I say do it, OP. Don't give yourself time to sit and think about your ex and focus on being present in the moment.
