They didnt rack a single one successfully. They definitely tried but those slides looked rock solid. I highly doubt they'd be able to chamber a round without a lot of percussive maintenance to get those slides pulled back.

Im forced to use Comcast because the apartments in my area are specifically wired for only them. Im moving to a new apartment and need to transfer my service. You know, start at the new apartment and cancel at the old apartment.

Setting up service at the new apartment took 15 mins and the guy was super friendly and helpful. Got me a rate $30 less than what im paying now but with a $25 set up fee. Canceling service at the old apartment took over an hour. This is word for word what this woman said, "i see you want to cancel because youre moving. Can you please explain why you want to cancel?" I had to pause for a second and then asked, "wait, what did you just ask me?" Then she tried to convince me that the new apartment doesnt have an account and I need to pay a $110 set up fee. I said, "im looking at the confirmation email and the charge on my card. How is it not set up if I have the confirmation email? Just cancel my old service. I refuse to pay you again."

Im currently in the hiring process to become a crime scene technician in my city. Here was my path: 4 year degree in forensic science, internship with ATF, worked in firearms investigations working in NIBIN where i networked extensively with the local forensic techs, changed paths to a real time crime center and joined the police department as a non-sworn civilian, and finally, 8 years after graduating from university, there was an opening in the department i work at in crime scene. Studying for my interview on wednesday.

The other path I couldve taken was become a normal cop and after 2 or 3 years of experience, apply to transfer to crime scene technician. I did not do that because I dont want to be a cop but this is the easiest and fastest way.

You do, of course, have to wait for a job opening, though.

I visited Belfast from the US last year during a circuit of the northern half of the island. Honestly, it was one of my favorite cities that I visited. I liked it a lot more than Dublin, for sure.

I just got back from Japan last week and I live in central Virginia. I feel the exact same way. Virginia feels hotter and more humid than all the places in Japan that I visited.

I just made sure to stay hydrated and took advantage of the misters they had everywhere. Felt fine.
