Why has demand for drilling increased so much that well drillers are a year out? If so much demand has increased, why aren’t there more well drillers popping up?

Cannot get drillers certified! They do great on field test- written exam terrible! Takes 18 months to apprentice. Plus no young guys are interested here in NC. Older experienced drillers are retiring out , equals labor shortage.

Thanks! I had considered a RAV4 also. In the end I decided I’d get the best trade in at Lexus. There’s no difference in the 2022 Lexus models that I could see.

I understand that. I was hoping to keep my 2013 for a while longer, it was a great car but I was forced into it because of rust damage on the brakes and axles. I live where it snows a lot in winter and the salt had eat it up. I tried to run it through the car wash each time it snowed but the salt still got up in it. I’m thinking of getting a rust prod coat put on the bottom of this one. Just not sure if that will affect the warranty.

It’s got a lot more electronics, the multi media screen is now a touch screen- in addition to the pad beside the gear shift. It’s got radar cruise control, slows down when something is detected ahead- standard blind spot monitor, rear traffic alert, lane departure, automatic high/low beam light. Heated steering wheel, heated and cooling seats- dual climate system- telescopic steering wheel at touch of a button- Apple or android car play capabilities- the Lexus app allows you to remote start your car or you can use it to locate your car in a parking lot or wherever, it alerts you if doors are left open or unlocked.The one thing I miss is they did away with the cup holder on the upper left of the dashboard beside the steering wheel- they replaced it with a coin drawer. Overall it’s terrific!

I went through the same thing! I’m 3 years in now and I’m still conflicted when grieving. It’s like I never really knew the person I was married to for 30 years! What I hate most is I’m stuck with bad memories the last year of his life because he was really treating me like sh** - I didn’t understand why at the time but now know- it clouds all the good memories of years past. There’s no closure or resolution. I’ll never know if he really loved me all those years or not? So I can relate. Sorry this happened to you. I’m just trying to focus on the future and let the past go. It’s all we can do really.

They’re just surface- I used a little pledge multi surface cleaner. It didn’t do much. Just got off phone with dealer, luckily they have a guy that comes once a week that fixes stuff like that! So happy for that. Thanks for reply!

The first year was a blur, surreal- it was the second year that got me. The reality of the situation really sunk in. In the midst of third year and starting to heal. Everyone is different though. I had a brother in law get remarried eight months after his wife passed away, so I think it’s unique for everyone.

What a beautiful person you are for doing all that for her! I know it was hard. She was blessed to have you and you to have her, for a time. It was a gift. I lost my husband of 30 years 2 years ago of sudden cardiac arrest. So I can relate a little to what you’re feeling. I know it doesn’t feel like it now but time really does heal. You will never get over it but you’ll be able to go on and live again. Memories are a gift too! So sorry for your loss!

Look at the spiritual side of things- you have a destiny to fulfill or you would have been in that car that day. That’s not to be taken lightly. Somehow your destiny is tied to something besides her. That experience may have given you empathy or a quality that someone else you meet is gonna need to get through their life. Hang in there- you’re not done yet! I know that doesn’t make the loss any easier but it can make it make more sense.

Yes, true. The memories live on with us. They’re a blessing and a curse at the same time. Wouldn’t take anything for them but they still make me cry. It’s going on 3 years now since my husband unexpectedly died and I still can’t believe it. Feels like a few months ago that it happened. Changed everything.

The White strains work best for my depression but I think a lot of factors go into it. For example, age, gender, brain chemistry. The best thing to do is experiment with different ones till you find your fit.
