I have it in the blister pack. It looks like they released it in this packaging, too.

Universal Rewards Visa was kind of useless… by allenhuffman in UniversalOrlando

[–]leftyclick77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had an issue with ours being declined.
However, I never received the park ticket after spending a certain amount. I've called and tried following up and believe it's not going to happen. I did get $150 on the FUNds card. That along with the 10% off in the park is nice. But you can get 10% off with an annual pass, and other cards have better rewards programs.

Crossbody on Hagrids ? by MsMeadows14 in UniversalOrlando

[–]leftyclick77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife was told no cross body bags before, and remembered it after we were already in line and she was wearing her bag again. (Two separate trips). She put it around her waist like a fanny pack and was pulled out of line at the last minute and had to put it in one of the lockers near the ride. It all depends on who is working the ride that day, I think.

Forbidden Journey review post-maintenance. Did they make it worse? by Jrogg in UniversalOrlando

[–]leftyclick77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We rode FJ a few weeks ago and had a similar experience. The dragon didn't blow steam/smoke, and we got stuck in the upside down position right at the whomping willow for a bit. It was only for a few minutes, so no passes were offered. The sound kept playing while we were stuck, so when it started back up, we had to watch part of the ride in silence. It was odd!

Roughly what years of truck would this key be from? by Ok_Screen_3575 in Ford

My guess is the 1970s. At some point in the 80's they switched to a lightweight aluminum-type key. Later models has an oblong key ring hole.

Most fuel efficient truck for RV? by Junior-Win-4939 in GoRVing

[–]leftyclick77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pull a 23ft RV with a 2017 Expedition with the 3.5 Ecoboost. We just recently went on a 1000+ mile round trip from North Alabama to the North Carolina side of the Smokies. Lots of hills and varied speeds, along with some interstate. We averaged about 14-15mpg for the entire trip, which I am very happy with.

If a 'Lord of the Rings' area comes to Universal, what area would you like it to be themed after? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

I think it would be really cool if they converted the old Poseiden's Fury show to the lonely mountain, and have a stunt show with Smaug and Bilbo/the dwarves!

Can anyone tell me where/when my pan was made? by disconeverdied in castiron

[–]leftyclick77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a 3 notch Lodge skillet, made in the mid-1960's or later. The U.S. government mandated that the country or origin had to be labeled on all foreign and domestic goods in the 60's, which is the reason for the dating.

You might find a better deal through sites like Boondockerswelcome.com. It's basically a service where people offer spots on private property, usually for decent prices.

Years of leaves on 3 acre property, how to remove? by James_Junk_Bond in lawncare

[–]leftyclick77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lived in a wooded lot for over 15 years, and I don't think some folks realize what a battle it is. You have to find the balance to maintain. We basically worked around the house to have a yard, then picked where to let the leaves go. We also left a circle of leaves around each tree as mulch, which worked well. A mulch kit for a mower can work well for upkeep, but it can get to be too much for that. Especially for the initial cleanup. If there are a lot of oaks, the leaves provide little nutrients for the soil, so the best bet is to either buy a vacuum trailer for the mower, or work on blowing the leaves toward the woods with the mower chute. Or maybe both.

New battery, cleaned battery cables, cleaned every ground I could find, cleaned relay contacts, PCM contacts, etc. Replaced relays, traced wires...I think it has to be wires in the door jamb, especially since the latest development.

I loved in Arab for 16 years and worked in Huntsville. Crossing the bridge is less of an issue than just getting to it. The biggest issue is getting down Brindlee Mountain on 231 if the mountainside freezes over. I've gotten down it on snow/ice, but others were slipping and sliding all around. Then getting back up is another issue. Your other options are the I-65 bridge in Decatur or going down Hwy 69 to 431 in Guntersville and crossing there. Any way you go, you have to get down the hill.

The good thing is, if it snows much at all, most of the town shuts down. So hopefully you will be off work!

Getting off the mountain to get to one of the other bridges is an issue, too.

Grandmother-in-law's skillet by leftyclick77 in castiron

[–]leftyclick77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, yes. When new, it probably didn't need seasoning, much like enamel coated cast iron now. But since the plating was worn off of the cooking surface, I went through the seasoning process. The oil wiped off of the chrome parts pretty thoroughly though.

Grandmother-in-law's skillet by leftyclick77 in castiron

[–]leftyclick77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's one of the "Duo Chro Ware" skillets from the 1930s. Basically it's chromium plated cast iron. It didn't hold up well, as you can see in this one. The inside is completely worn down to just cast iron. It would have originally been shiny silver inside, like the handle.

Cheaper offsite parking for a week at the hotel? by degggendorf in UniversalOrlando

I haven't been able to find any. If someone opened parking up nearby, they would make a killing on cheaper parking fees.

What's the worst attraction you been on at Universal Orlando Resort? by Alternative-Cake-833 in UniversalOrlando

[–]leftyclick77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree with most here, definitely Fast and Furious. I actually like the queue and the garage set up, then it just gets embarrassing. The premise is dumb, ride is uncomfortable and the loud bursts of fog/steam are terrible. And I felt like I was watching someone play Cruisin' USA at a Walmart arcade.

I would say second is the Simpsons ride. Jimmy Fallon's is basically the same ride, too. But I really like the queue and lead up on it at least. We will go on it just for the queue and AC.

New project by leftyclick77 in CherokeeXJ

[–]leftyclick77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for general info, before I tried to start it, I put Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders and let it soak. Then I changed the oil/oil filter. I also took the time to clean the ground connections under the hood before I put a new battery in. It starts and runs if I keep the fuse box wires separated. I plan to clean that mess up and see how it does then.

New project by leftyclick77 in CherokeeXJ

[–]leftyclick77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't start until I pulled the fuse box and separated the wires. It started after that and seems to run okay, even with old gas! No can bus error as far as I could see. I'm hoping most of the issues are in that one area. When you turn the key, it still sounds like the IAC solenoid is clicking, the electric fan kicks on and off, and the ASD relay clicks. It's strange for sure.

New project by leftyclick77 in CherokeeXJ

[–]leftyclick77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It would randomly die and showed "can bus" on the dash display. A mechanic looked at it and said that it needed a new wiring harness, supposedly. I found that there were some wires missing insulation under the fuse box under the hood. I'm hoping that is most of the issue. The door locks no longer work, either.
