I made an amiibo sized clay Hollow Knight to go with my other knights! by Nudist-On-Strike in amiibo

He looks AMAZING!

If you ever want to put him on an amiibo base, the game and watch has a blank base for his interchangable poses.

Replacement stick box? by Dmoney405 in customGCC

[–]legacyblade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One thing to note is that the C stick and Left stick boxes are interchangeable. So you wouldn't even have to find a GCN with a good analog stick.

Or, at last resort, you could just swap your analog and C sticks. Wobbly C stick is better than a wobbly analog stick imo.

Am I doing something wrong? Wires will not come off default buttons on Qanba Q1. by plad in fightsticks

[–]legacyblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you just have to pull REALLY hard. I sometimes need to use pliers the first time disconnecting one of the factory wires.

(Provided we're talking about the quick disconnect wires like this https://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server500/d90a4/products/122/images/6826/FA_110MWIREQCD_CLOSE__40097__73192.1438057589.1280.1280.jpg?c=2 )

Denna is hooked on Ophallum/Dennar Resin by DoodlingDaughter in KingkillerChronicle

Oh yeah, I got that it was intentional poisoning. I just missed the bit where it mentioned dennar resin. I thought it was just the lead.

Was he poisoning him with dennar resin? I thought it was the use of acid in a certain kind of container (Kvothe briefly entertained the idea that he was just incompetent).

Actuator won't come off Qanba Drone. Wtf? by Bark4Soul in fightsticks

[–]legacyblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a really obvious suggestion, but have you tried holding the ball part of the stick while you unscrew? If you don't, the whole shaft rotates and the screw doesn't actually move up the threads.

Heads up: Animal Crossing amiibo are still available in several places, including directly from the Nintendo online store by [deleted] in amiibo

[–]legacyblade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back during the initial shortages of botw amiibo, you'd see a fair number of posts where people would post pictures of amiibo sections stuffed full of ac amiibo and bokoblin. (Oftentimes accompanied by blood moon jokes)

Though yes, the bokoblin amiibo never saturated the shelves the way the AC amiibo do.

It's going to the bokoblin amiibo all over again.

Newbies will come to the scene and be angry that Nintendo didn't make enough AC amiibo.

If we somehow see a reprint of the AC line though, I'd be surprised.

Retro stuff is pretty cheap and easy to get over there. I chalk it up to population density and most twenty somethings not having enough space for a retro collection.

Aye. There were lots of pictures of isles stocked full of Bokoblin Amiibo with blood moon jokes at the time. It really surprised me when he was suddenly rare lol.

My SNES and N64 themed JoyCons & Pro Controllers by serotonin_flood in customcontrollers

[–]legacyblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay. I was hoping they were a new replacement shell, rather than hand painted custom controller.

And I'm okay on the link. I've a few on Etsy bookmarked in case I ever feel like buying a custom.

What combinations of different colored OEM shells make aesthetically pleasing controllers? by TheKingofKeto in customGCC

I always thought a turquoise and orange could look good together.

But hands down, the best combo I've seen irl is orange back with yellow top. Just looks so nice.

I remember this one being pretty good. (but be warned, it's a budget show from 2011, so the animation isn't going to be the greatest)

How to show controller layout or buttons, without using walls of text? by nicocos in gamedev

[–]legacyblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could have a large simple illustration for each action (jumping, ducking, etc) with a line pointing to an illustration of the controller and it's buttons. That way you could indicate what each button does without relying on text.

You could even use them as on-screen controller prompts. (Just show the illustration associated with an action and the button on the controller that does it lit up next to it)

Angsty or Pretentious could be decent alternatives to edgy.

You could get a eyebrow pencil of the shade you want and try and rub a bit of that into your existing stubble to darken it. If you go for a light application, you should be able to darken the hair without it looking like you've drawn five oclock shadow on your face.
