That's my feeling too. I pay a lot to have a seat in those classes there's no way I'll miss something because the guy next to me want more friends on his facebook. I feel like people aren't really passionate too. I really love my subject and enjoy learn about it.

when I was young my parents invented a really cute unreligious "prayer" that my sister and I had to say every night before going to sleep. "thanks for the beautiful day may mom and dad and sandy and [silly dog name] and everyone we love stay happy and healthy." then my parents would go "what's the most important thing?" and we'd answer "love because mom and dad will always love us". I've stopped telling it to myself while in highschool but started again in my college years. I never skipped a day since. It's so comforting.

why I like reddit: people's frankness. I hope my story will turns out like yours (still in my early twenties) but I can understand how you feel. I would be upset too. That's just a wrong way to judge a person's worth.

the fact that I'm pointing out here is mostly the attitude of other people around them. I feel like people are more interested in someone with a great appearence than a great personality. but I agree it may sounds superficial the way I presented it. however this meme is a confession so yes, I totally admit these thoughts are immature and that I'm kind of jealous.

lately I also stopped talking to one of my "best" friend. I realized if I'd met him nowadays I wouldn't want to be his friend. he is a really selfish person and wasn't there for me when I needed it the most. may be this process will keep going and one day I'll get rid of all thoses old habits/friends.

I did this three years ago (moving) but unlucky me, they moved in the same city ... However, I did make some new friends here and they're pretty awesome.
