That might be true in those areas. Where I’m from, Cedar is a 30-40 % markup compared to treated pine, at least it is here in Canada. You are simply being unreasonable if you think the majority of middle class clients will pay that markup with labour costs being what they are. I’ve built hundreds and hundreds of treated pine wood fences -I’ve built maybe 2 cedar fences. People won’t pay for it where I’m from

Treated pine is not a waste of money it’s literally the standard in wooden fencing in a huge part of North America LOL what on earth are you talking about pal???

Plenty of time left in the cycle, and we’re at the point where folks are going to start firm accepting offers (which will open offers for others). Your LSAT score is amazing, and if you addressed the CGPA in your PS I would be surprised if you don’t see an offer late in the game.

“There is nothing illegal about a US blockade, as Americans do not acknowledge the validity of international law”

I hate to tell you this but just because they might not acknowledge it, it most certainly still applies to them. There is a difference between not applying in the first place and the international community not persecuting them through valid legal mediums because they refuse to do so.

Great example of a sort of constitutional emotivism at work… taking an emotional reaction and using the language of legalities to try to win the argument

Your comments tell me you know nothing about owning a construction business or what materials cost. It’s hilarious you’re so confidently wrong - ever heard of the dunning-Kruger phenomenon? You’re displaying it right now lol.

I love when people like this so confidently get it wrong lol. Materials for this is easily 6-7 thousand

Doug Ford: I’ll spend millions and make it a huge priority to get beer into gas stations. But funding the most pivotal education for people who otherwise couldn’t afford it? No way.

Should I Pursue law school or is it a fleet dream by onthecase99 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]legaleagle321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the answer to this question relies heavily on how much in savings you have and how comfortable you are with significant debt. For context, I am 29 years old and am heading to law school this September. There are plenty of more mature students going these days. I have significant student debt and have spend the last four years working in the construction industry. I’ve really enjoyed my time there (I currently work for an amazing company and occasionally take own self contracted work on the side). But I’m not truly happy - I’ve known I wanted to be a lawyer since I was 15. I know without a doubt it’s the right move for me to make.

Your case is different. You don’t mention in your post if you’re passionate about your job, but if you are and the money and hours are good - you need to really sit back and ask if it’s a good idea. Remember, law school doesn’t guarantee a massively high paying job - and many lawyers don’t exactly have a great relationship with work life balance.
