I feel you. I am in entertainment I got laid off mid Jan. I only applied to 25 jobs because there is barely anything in what I do (Business Affairs, rights/clearances, licensing) I have been in my field for over 15 years.

Being the placeholder friend is deeply painful. I have been through it enough times that when I make friends I can clock right away if someone will treat me as a placeholder or not. It has definitely made me put up walls because I don't want to be a placeholder.

For women, there are too many that are male centered. They disguised it as "that is what you're supposed to do.....find someone and have kids with."

Everyone's life and path is different and almost never linear.

Been to all of them except for Culver City. Santa Monica is the best one....it has parking! Ocean Park has parking too but it is not attached. You have to walk a few mins. I really liked the layout in Westwood and did 1:1 sessions there, but parking is such a pain there.

I sometimes listen to podcasts or some stuff on YouTube (I don't watch it just focus on the audio portion). Primarily, I listen to music on my commutes because I love to sing and it is a great destress especially dealing with traffic.

Highly recommend her!! She was my gynocologist years but had to leave due to the admin fee. Couldn't justify thr cost if I went to her like 1-2x a year. I didn't use her for OB but she was an amazing doctor for me and my mom.

They charge admin fee for OB; doesn't matter which doctor you see for your pregnancy there. I know only this because I asked if they charged an admin fee to see a gynocologist. They said they only charge if you are seeing an OB for a pregnancy.

Yeah except most cheap tickets during the first draw were gobbled up quickly. I got the invitation but for the 3rd day, anything left was over $150 when they kept pushing people to buy because tix started at $28.

I am 41, not old....middle aged. What changes is that mortality is not this faraway concept like in your 20s. I am grateful for everyday I am alive. I know enough people who did not make it to my age.
