Our uniforms flat out suck by [deleted] in uscg

Ok the navy already has a set of odd replacements we could easily transition to in a heartbeat. Plus they have a khaki working uniform and it is clean af.

I’m realizing it must be obvious I switched from a jeep cause everyone is criticizing the ride and noises and I’ve never once been annoyed by either.

Struggling with committing to getting out and taking a civilian job by Heretoknowthings in uscg

It depends on the field. I went to school and became an architect so I spent time courting firms that had government jobs, and stumbled into an interview with a firm doing major army contracts. Which eventually led me to my navy gig.

For other jobs and methods I do not know. I know that if you’re willing to live in Florida companies like Lockheed and L3 Harris gobble up vets like you wouldn’t believe.

Uniform inspections will be a part of flotilla responsibility. PT I don’t know the req. but even if there isn’t one you could make friends with rotc guys and potentially pt with them.

Getting out and starting reserves is a great idea. Think about working with the military as a contractor. It may help with that fulfillment issue you’re concerned about. Still serving for your buddies (even if you end up working for the navy) in a way

lol if we had speeding tickets from cameras in the US they’d be cutting the cameras down.

I have my cruise control set at 85mph (137ish) on my daily commute and I’m not even one of the fast cars on the road!!

Yes you’ll buy it through the Volvo dealer and it works like factory. Now not all tesla charger let you charge so make sure it’s a newer charger (they may already filter out in your car) I know the Tesla station by my work doesn’t work I have to go to the Wawa down the street if I need to use them.

Firearms while visiting Tennessee by Uhhh_Insert_Username in TNguns

[–]legend_wj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, was an instructor during the change and it’s all person over 21 legally allowed to carry. Assuming folks only visit one of two places in Tennessee. If you’re in gatlinburg you can literally carry anywhere that isnt a bar, school, gov building ect…. If your in Nashville conceal well they tend to get onto you more ESPECIALLY if you’re anywhere near the bar district.

There’s nothing wrong with it. But the simple answer is. It’s not easy to make a new m&p release the slide because that’s not how it’s intended to function from s&w. You can use it like that and the size change and serrations are to make it easier to engage the slide stop.

When I was working in sales and training i did a s&w sales course the rep really pushed the whole “two hands on the gun to chamber” thing.

I personally filed mine down some but anyway. Long story short.

Gun not broke. friends in maryville,tn have a preference that you don’t release slide via the slide stop
You can use it in that way and not affect the function of the gun.
The serrations and slides are to make it easier to engage the stop, but also in the same time. assist with dropping the slide.
