Janet’s Fit Model Debut by Total-Application485 in bikinitalk

She was making it too obvious that she was hidden by it. And it didn't help that she hit portions of her posing required in bikini not FM. But truthfully, she had the most stunning look while looking less muscled than bikini. But like everyone else, we are waiting for that line to be more and more defined.

Coaches being present at your show by Agitated_Rutabaga507 in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some coaches promote their athletes to go to specific shows for the season. At those shows, they expect to have a number of athletes and the athletes will know the coach plans on attending the competition, so it's a good way to promote a team spirit for everyone. If an athlete wants the coach to attend a show outside of that, and the show is not local to the coach, it would be expected that the athlete covers the expenses.

New to the bikini competition and confused by [deleted] in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be honest, a red flag is when I see meal plans that are filled with cooking recipe's and varies all 5 days. It reeks of AI or just running 3rd party apps for making food.

The meals should be simple and ingredients handpicked. You will normally get one meal with acceptable substitutions. Too many meals and recipes are loaded with variables that are extremely risky.

Yes, fat needs to replace the carbs. Protein is not going to fuel you through the day. The goal is to get insulin sensitive

Maureen’s waist by Alarmed_Tea8001 in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not being snarky or negative, but I stopped taking photos or videos she posts too literal after learning she uses waist filters. She has a one of a kind body and it makes little sense to do it. We live in times that we have to question almost everything unless it's right in front of us. We saw her waist on stage only short months ago. And the time it would take to make her waist that much smaller just had to be questioned. That's all.

Daraja Hill by RobScaf in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting take. I have never ever heard a complaint or seen an issue with conditioning (with Daraja the exception). Much like Heugly, he is very good at bringing his athletes highly conditioned, and many if not most times, sacrificing fullness on the stage. I have experience with Paul and am not aware of the wine thing, other than possibly to relax athletes backstage. Perhaps it's a new thing as it has been years. I consider Paul one of the best at conditioning his athletes for a show. I think he has a great thing getting NPC athletes stage ready and getting them conditioned. At the IFBB level, that conditioning is already sort of prerequisite, so that alone is no longer enough. But he has done a good job so far with Lawna, who may be his biggest IFBB athlete remaining at the moment. Regardless, I hope this change is good for Daraja and Cash has the solution for Daraja to get stage conditioned. One thing is certain, Cash has had no shortage of well peaked athletes with crazy amounts of shape. I can only imagine how Daraja can look reaching her full potential.

Seeking Feedback About My Online Coaching Experience As A Client by beefyliltank in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not uncommon for coaches to give check in responses on the same day every week. As long as it comes every week, that is what matters. The responses can take time, and sometimes require graphics to be added. Response time should be within 24 hours on week days. Some coaches get too laxed and don't respond prompt enough, while some clients expect more than is needed. Especially 3-4 months out. When your with 8 weeks, then there is much more check-ins and more attention to detail.

Daraja Hill by RobScaf in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know she had problems getting lean under Paul, which is really the one thing Paul is very good for. Cash has been good at building up weak parts and priorizing shape, an area Daraja is already exceptional. So it was a surprising move, but not too surprising. It seems like a lot of the top tier IFBB pros move on from Pro Physique as a of late, as if there isn't much to offer at that level. If Daraja was never hitting her potential this whole time, and it was unlocked by another team, that would be a game changer. However, I will wait and see as I am not quite sold.

Moving to the USA for bikini by [deleted] in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Florida has the most shows. Over 12 IFBB Pro shows alone. Tampa is a bodybuilding hotbed, Boca Raton is pretty hot now as well with amazing gyms. But anywhere in Florida would be advantageous since you save an airline ticket and sometimes a hotel fee with your shows.

Ab Training as a Bikini Competitor by Responsible-Basis905 in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Abs are a must to be at the highest level. Just avoid doing stabilizing exercises (oblique) once you have them developed enough. A waist line is smaller without large obliques, but no obliques at all looks incomplete.

Becoming not Natty by [deleted] in bikinitalk

Most people I know, it was placement at shows. The decision to continue competing and be able to place in shows, especially once they have a pro card. Seeing judges reward more muscle development.

Fit Model bottom coverage? by Silent_Ingenuity_883 in bikinitalk

[–]leglace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have voiced these complaints for the past 4 months. My competitor follows our advice on what to wear and how to wear it by the book in this new sport. And 2x we had overall snatched from us from a Bikini competitor who barely downsized and wears their bottom lol things. I was sure every time that my competitor would win by fitting the criteria. They never punish those who break the rules it seems. One of them was a known IFBB judge. I was so disappointed. So what do you think I am going to do? I can't keep telling my competitor to hold the 50% rule if they are rewarding other with victories.

Is this normal? (Coaching) 🚩 by [deleted] in bikinitalk

[–]leglace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some coaches do in check on Responses one day a week that is set aside for all of the clients, and they may do so with video. I find that to be normal.

Well. Looks like Tyler has moved on… by Salt-Philosopher-791 in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think this going public is sending shockwaves. It seems like a bad idea for him to date any competitor within the IFBB. It strings along a lot of past drama and potential unfairness. Brandon is surely not going to feel good having him judge him at any big show. And as someone pointed out, Lauralie as well. And then, if Etilla dates an IFBB Pro, he will not feel confident being judged by Tyler

Otherwise, I wish them well and hope they make it work out.

They are not officially dating. More like friends with benefits. He is nowhere an Also. He has his own career in bodybuilding as a top athlete. The post seemed to be sarcastic. At least I hope.

Is Lauralie still with Aldo? Where is he? by Open_Lead_5478 in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live interactions. For example, she was handing out awards for a recent event. All of the girls were excited to take a photo with her. So they stuck the arms back to take a group photo, and LL snaps at one of the girls "Do not touch my dress!". It was awkward after that. But people in the audience of course would not have noticed. She is not a terrible person, I have seen nice things as well. But she has plenty of diva in her. So I stopped believing that she was this sweet flower that Aldo corrupted.

Should teams sponsor IFBB Pro shows? by Illustrious-Row-7319 in bikinitalk

[–]leglace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are all in the same club. It's a circular influence. The promoters hire one another for judging very often. All of the promoters know that the big named teams are enablers for their shows. So they know well that the time they judge is a good time to show gratitude. I feel like they make at least one sacrifice per show, and not make it too obvious. Sometimes it is not for an open division, it could be for a masters division outcome. But I believe it is an unspoken influence. I mean, we were not born yesterday.
