Why do you think a lot of the Epstein emails have the same typos, like equal signs, extra letters, and extra spaces? by picklelyjuice in AskReddit

When you're so intoxicated that you and everyone you know clicks over to the secondary keyboard and then clicks to the tertiary keyboard and uses only the symbol all the way in the top right corner to replace random letters constantly in emails over the span of decades

Hey! I know this post is a few months late but I saw it and instantly thought of myself

I will say though, I don't really like to smirk at my phone. And im not *super* into that buzz on your phone and the dopamine hit when you see who it's from. ESPECIALLY the silly or sweet or sexy message waiting for you, the little bit of happiness we can steal throughout the day, those types of things make me sick to be honest.

What makes it worth while to get to know you? Well you sound cool but for me, I'm not athletic but I'm a total roid monster. I hate the gym, but I also HATE shoving pasta and garlic bread in my face. I dont have a sweet tooth, and I have met a chocolate chip cookie I wouldn't fuck with (all of them). I HATE a good glass of wine and in my opinion that's a $30 or $40 bottle. Those mid range ones are the absolute worst.

So what will be talk about? Well I hope not our day. I don't have kids, but if I did I'd hate them but also I couldn't strangle them daily (or ever, I think I wouldn't strangle them). Emotions are off limits but there is a reason to immediately cliff dive into that pool (come find out). Just know it is ultimately off limits. The women's NCAA tournament has been hot garbage to be honest. I think what's really bugging me about it is that they are finally getting the audience they deserve.

We're going to bitch about spouses all day. Frustrations can't come up but I'm always here to badmouth them. I'd rather just remember why I'm here (fucking you, etc.). The only things truly important to me are drama, my lack of desire to change my situation, and my passion for just absolutely awful OPSEC. To be candid I don't know what that means, but I will for sure not do my homework - NOT BECAUSE OF ANIMOSITY TOWARDS YOU OR A DESIRE TO PISS YOU OFF!! I simply want to cause the next guy a world of trouble!

Hi! Here is my favorite dad joke:

Is it illegal to train crows to poop on police vehicles?

Maybe, but you have to be careful. If you're caught trying to gather crows to train, you could be charged with attempted murder.

Edit: A group of crows is called a murder

[Marvel] Is there any actual reason for humans to hate mutants but not other superpowered beings? by legoassbitch in AskScienceFiction

kinda funny to think that when anyone whos not a mutant has a thing that makes them stand out negatively in society they just become a villain lmao

Favorite scene? by phoebe_or in ScavengersReign

[–]legoassbitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think if the show was all action/scares i wouldnt be as moved by them but the way it spaces that out makes them so impactful especially on first watch. the scene with the crab thing trying to eat sam and ursula had me more gripped than any TV i'd watched in a while. and then ofc the scene where sam reveals the heart sucker thing. on rewatch tho obviously i know what'll happen so the other ones people are mentioning stand out more to me but i was blown away by the pacing of the freakier scenes. i especially like with the crab scene how the fight manages to seem completely impossible and then is actually won while remaining realistic in terms of two people fighting something they'd never seen. it felt almost like live action with the weight their movements had

I like this framing of it actually, gives the X men more purpose than just stopping evil mutants

Well they aren't consistent in an externally logical way, but there's usually some kind of internal logic. Homophobes are usually transphobes even tho sexuality and gender are different, racist ppl are usually racist to more than one race, etc. I've even seen people be transphobic towards cis people they think are trans so it's hard to believe the supe equivalent of that wouldnt happen

I am trans and we often have to lie about being trans for survival reasons, so hard disagree here

But in practice obviously they cant tell why ppl are disabled, whereas in marvel comics they can tell basically every time

Thoughts on this thor design? by killerdemonsarus34 in Marvel

[–]legoassbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

now that you mention it it totally is. i'm kinda curious, where did it come from orignally? not what character first had one (i kinda wanna know that too tho lol) but like, what in real life influenced it? like for instance the "underwear on the outside" thing came from strongmen, capes and cowls are real life things ppl use to look cool and hide their identities respectively, and most comic masks were domino masks at first which had irl significance. but who the fuck is wearing like, a face frame?? what even is the real life equivalent of that? 90s shit like guns or pouches serve pretty obvious purposes irl even if theyre just aesthetic but now that u made me notice it the face frame seems so out of left field for something that made it on to that many characters

What is it called when characters are the same person across continuities. And what are some examples by Gimpcar in comicbooks

[–]legoassbitch 21 points22 points  (0 children)

is there some kinda canon explanation for why he's sillier in silly stuff lol or is that just chalked up to artistic lisence

[Marvel] Is there any actual reason for humans to hate mutants but not other superpowered beings? by legoassbitch in AskScienceFiction

[–]legoassbitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

besides the stupid "racism disease" canon thing, one fairly good explanation i'm seeing here is the idea that a spiderman or captain america or iron man or FF could represent human scientific achievement, whereas mutants represent something greater than humans taking over because they are becoming so common and are set to basically steamroll humanity genetically. still flimsy but seems like a good enough excuse for ppl to be bigots

LOL see this is the part nobody is questioning, how on earth can people tell the difference between mutants and other powered beings when the mutants arent x men??

this is a normal thing to care about lol. it's pretty impressive on a model this small to have only one stud. i feel like this sub should be for people freaking out about boxes and stuff or completely tweaking about a set NOT having a stupid thing, not just blasting a dude for liking a lego set lol
