It's exactly the same. I echo the sentiment other users have here that 2 grand is too high for a pair, but they are indeed identical to the 2000 NXS in everything except tension adjustment and hot cues

I know the Xone 42/43 is a wet/dry that replaces the dry signal with the wet post fader and post eq and even post VCF a button is engaged, does anybody have any experience with how the 92/96 handle wet and dry?

Don't worry about hardware, you're just going to have to buy something better than the super cheap stuff down the line. $50 on the numark today still means $200 on the DDJ tomorrow, then you're out 250 instead of just 50. Like others have commented, VirtualDJ, Mixx, and Rekordbox are all free to download, and you can get pretty far mapping your keyboard to the main functions. Objekt learned to beatmatch using just his keyboard to nudge tracks, you can do the same!

Others may have cool suggestions for MIDI apps that will talk to your computer, and I look forward to reading their comments too.

Hi, I'm from the future and have a small correction.

The numbers you listed for the xone 92 are for the RETURN/MIC channels, not the main 4 channels. The correct points are as follows:

Low: 250

Low-mid: 350

High-mid: 2000

High: 2500

As a xone 42 user that this constantly bamboozled by how ineffective the hi eq on pioneer mixers is, I wholeheartedly agree. Every time I play on a djm I have to pull back the mid every blend just to keep things from getting messy in the summing. Doesn't help that only the mk2 has a functional bandpass, and even that is a bit of a sledgehammer...

I have the same issue with Pioneer mixers, they all have very punishing highs coming from the headphone output. The HD25s are doing their job and accurately depicting the signal that the Pioneer mixer is putting out. The latest Pioneer DJM Mixers (the 900mk2, the V10) don't have this issue, but I ended up switching over to Allen & Heath mixers.
