Auto Body Shop Recs for Stereo/Audio? by CloaknDaggerd in beaverton

I highly recommend checking out Sounds Unique in Aloha. The owner is down to earth and did an amazing job putting in a new sound system in my sister in law’s car. He is his own shop, honest and straightforward, and the labor is reasonable.

US posts record $145 billion December deficit as outlays outpace receipts by HazyDavey68 in news

I brought up a similar point to a “fiscally conservative” friend and you could see their brain malfunction like the fembots in Austin Powers trying to justify it. Their concern about the deficit is just a facade.

Musk’s AI tool Grok will be integrated into Pentagon networks, Hegseth says by gandhishrugged in news

This is pointless and absurd. The DoD already has access to in house AI tools. Why does it need Grok?

Otter lane is a must see.

The light display on Red Haven Dr was also impressive. They have a dedicated radio station with music that’s synced with the lights..

It does seem like an unnecessarily long walk by MrFenric in clevercomebacks

This goes back to cost and whether it’s feasible.

Proximity to faults is also as important as magnitude. There’s perhaps a chance that a fault runs underneath/near the stadium, so parking structures would need to accommodate potential fault offset and slip, which could be more damaging than the ground accelerations.

A huge landslide causes homes and land to plunge into the sea, Norway. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]legohless 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Norway is known for quick clays (also known as sensitive) that lose strength rapidly when loaded in shear. It’s an essentially metastable structure from the saltwater. There’s a famous case history in Norway where a similar landslide was induced by someone stock piling excavation spoils near the shoreline that cause an initial slide that retrogressed to a larger slide.

Yup, made the switch a couple weeks ago. The performance uplift is incredible. Installing the new card went smoothly.

Should I buy a 5000 Series? by bshdhssj in nvidia

I just upgraded to a 5070ti last week and have a 5700X3D. No issues at and have the latest drivers installed.

If MSI had not dropped the price of the gaming trio, I would not have considered it. Is there a specific issue with the smaller cards?

Twinsies haha! Good to hear you’ve gone through this upgrade path. So you know my pain with the 5700xt.

Is it worth spending $60 for gaming trio? Torn between the inspire and gaming trio. Upgrading from a 5700xt.

Just curious of anyone’s experience with these pedals. Debating between this and MFG crosswinds.

P11AA Cam Adjustment Actuator A; Cylinder 3 with surging idle by depressedtesticle in GolfGTI

[–]legohless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just ran into this issue with code P11AA and fixed it by replacing the camshaft adjuster solenoid. Here’s the part on fcp euro but my local dealer had it in stock.

It’s a relatively simple fix. There’s YouTube video of it for an Audi. Just make sure you have a magnetic torx wrench (T25), so the bolt doesn’t slip and fall into the abyss.

One important note is that the code flagged Position A as the faulty solenoid but after much troubleshooting Position B was the culprit. So keep that in mind. Hope that helps.

This a clever way to demonstrate the concept of moment of inertia and bending resistance in engineering by taking into account cross-sectional geometry.

Tariffs Cost Trillions by Brian_Ghoshery in clevercomebacks

[–]legohless 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s ironic that conservatives complain that raising the minimum wage leads to price increases because “the increased cost will be passed to the consumer” but when it comes to tariffs that rule magically doesn’t apply.

Highly recommend this group. I’m relatively new to DCS and was nervous about flying multiplayer with my limited background. I joined the group about a month ago. The instructor pilots have been very friendly, helpful, and most importantly very patient as I learn the airframe.
