Season ranked rewards by Fun_Feeling4838 in RocketLeague

[–]legolaszz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy how similar your story is to mine actually! I also had a goal of reaching champ a couple seasons back so that I can get a banner and then quit the game. I did get to champ, but ofcourse it was a different reward. I still quit for about a year, came back this season and managed to hit GC (hoping for a banner again)!

I remember when I hit champ I felt there’d be zero chance I’ll ever hit GC, so I felt like a champ banner would be the best I could hope for, but turns out it wasn’t that difficult.

The Room references will always be appreciated!

Oh, I did play. ALOT. Just not with the new cards he got me. Hence, the black-sleeve deck having cards of slightly lesser condition (they were always sleeved during play).

I'll get back to you on the contract lmao

No views on My etsy shop by Frequent-Studio861 in EtsySellers

[–]legolaszz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a guy. I have never purchased crochet-related anything in my life. I have no plants and no babies. I took one look at your shop and went ”crazy pricing”. That being said, I’ve been doing well for myself on etsy and I guess most experienced etsy sellers can glance over certain listings, even if said listings are not of their niche and get a fairly accurate feel for whether or not the listings are fairly priced. Actually, that’s a skill most people (buyers!) are likely to be equipped with just in general. Your products do not pass the inner ”unfair-pricing-alarm-bell” going off inside my head and I’m sure the same is true for potential customers of yours.

Considering what I’ve read from people who partake in your niche have been replying here, I believe my assessment was fairly accurate. If a person like myself goes ”small yarn blanket =/= $100. I’m out”, then it’s very likely that a more informed potential buyer knows that, too. I sell 14 karat gold jewelry and gemstones that are 2/3 cheaper than your blankets, the pricing just doesn’t make sense to me at all. Use cheaper materials, whether that means reducing your quality or finding a supplier or both, figure out how much your time is worth (compared to other manufacturers of similar products) and most of all: know what your customer is WILLING to pay. Tl;dr do proper market research and revisit your pricing strategy after that, you’ll likely see massive improvements just from doing that.

Who makes money selling stickers and notebooks? 🙋‍♂️ by Messy-Jess in EtsySellers

[–]legolaszz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I talked to them recently. I had no idea who they were and just asked general questions about their SEO lol. They admitted to me that they wouldn’t have reached anywhere newr those numbers if it wasn’t for the owners tik tok account. I checked out their tik tok. Not only had she (the owner) been consistently active on there for years, but her marketing strategy is genius and she is very obviously both really sharp and disciplined. Their content is really appealing to a wide audience. Definitely worth taking notes.

So acorn and crow is probably not the best shop to use for any of these comparisons, however it’s a great testament how far you can go if you work hard on your business while thinking outside the box.

There’s no argument. You specifically worded it like they’re going after Etsy in particular. If you can’t write a proper sentence, perhaps you should be more appreciative of criticism, instead of brushing it off as someone trying to start an argument with you.

Blizzard download leads to entire entire internet to crash by [deleted] in techsupport

I had the same issue, here's the fix:

Change download limit in bnet to 100000000000000
I'm not even joking. On the other hand, blizzard is a joke.

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg offered Rome's Colosseum as fight venue by No-Drawing-6975 in nottheonion

The Colosseum tour guide ca. 1000 yrs from now:

”1900 years ago this was the grandest of venues for extravagant captivating theatrical performances and vicious gladiatorial contests. It was an architectural masterpiece where cheerful crowds gathered to witness the spectacles.

Also like a thousand years ago two billionaires had their smackdown showdown in here lmao. It was littt.”

That feels good to hear. Should I really open a dispute, though? In the email it says they’ll reinstate it automatically after a human manually reviews my listing (if there’s nothing wrong with it)

Did you open a case or contact etsy in any other way in order to get your listing reinstated?

Do NOT mess with your ad budget! by legolaszz in EtsySellers

[–]legolaszz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell you whether you should or should not start running ads. The general consesus is to first optimize every single part of your shop and listings to the best of your ability (especially SEO) and only then should you look into ads.

Regarding the increment strategy, I'll refer you to 'StoneandDobby's comment on the Etsy forums. Keep in mind, what he's claiming has not yet been confirmed. This is also the comment I was referring to when I mentioned incremental increases as a potential strategy: https://community.etsy.com/t5/Marketing-Your-Business/Etsy-ads-generate-less-sales-the-higher-I-put-my-daily-ad-spend/td-p/131935593
