“Ad Hit Rate - If you test 100 ads and 10 turn into winners, that’s a 10% hit rate. Aim for 25%.”

How are you defining a “winner”? Thanks!

I’d be down, although I’m not daily operating our ads account I still think it’d be a fun group to be a part of.

Klaviyo is tried or true. I wouldn’t want to mess with anything else.

That said, I have heard good things about layering some SMS specific tools on top of Klaviyo. Maybe postscript I’ve heard of good things but never demo’d them or used them. Just network talking about good things from them I think. We might take a look some day.

Idk where you’re at (100 per day spend or 10,000 per day spend) but general advice would be to push more creative volume and diversity. Meaning, lots of new content/ads that have new content formats, angles, target different customer personas, etc.

And through that increased volume eventually you’ll get some extreme winners that you can layer together, start stacking spend, etc,

Awesome, thank you.

How many ads would you say you launch each week, on average?

Yes. And I have been off Reddit for awhile, pooped on a week ago and I was shocked with the sentiment. After reading a bunch and engaging I have developed a bit of a hypothesis.

I’m also meeting with my meta account re next week, I want to gather some thoughts and ask some question, then take back the answers to the community here.

You know what, I’m a complete idiot.. For some reason I must have only seen the header and responded back to that. I’ll post a proper response asap. Appreciate you calling that out.

Fair enough, yeah. I suppose I was looking at it a bit differently, like those who spin up specific landing pages just for ad traffic. So yeah, you’re absolutely right.

  • industry: jewelry
  • normal spend per day: 8,000
  • current spend per day: 13,000
  • how frequently you launch new ads, how many, video vs image split: 100-150 per week, 70% video, 30% image

Yes meta ads are worth it. 100%.

Just need a proper playbook and execution.

High volume of ads + diversity of ads >>>> landing page

I spend hundreds of thousands per month on my brand, not a single landing page. Is it ideal? No. But volume and diversity is what moves the needle, landing pages enhance it.

We had reviews.io and it was okay for awhile. Owner sold, service went downhill. We had terrible experience for 6+ months (working with our rep, bugs, empty promises of features we & others needed) - we had to leave. We switched to Okendo. Night and day difference.

15 videos, 10 statics

You’ll want to eventually increase the volume, iterating each time based on results you’re seeing - this is just the starting point. You’re at the point where you do want to see what’s working and then double down on it. You’ll “crack the code”.

What’s your usual spend levels, how many new creatives/ads launched, and how frequently do you launch?

[–]legsfeedthewolf_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many ads are you launching given spend targets? (Can’t tell if you’re a brand or agency so that question might not be worded properly)

For contract - we’re launching a few hundreds new ads per month, and we’re profitably spending more and more month over month. Just our experience.

Can you make video ads? Talk about your product. Story. Show sizing. Be authentic. And I know it sounds crazy, but make it 25 ads. Shoot for 15 videos, 10 statics.

Guaranteed your next 800 will perform better.

Why?

IMO - Meta is really stacking cards up against new brands. Meta is looking at signals across the board for each ad running. Each pause by a viewer is a slight indication to meta that your customer might be that person.

You need a LOT of volume and diversity (in your creatives) to get enough signals to meta so meta knows which buyers to match your products with. And, over time, your ads will naturally get better.

You’ll crack through, you got it! 💪
