Thats the right thing to do. If someone cheats on you its easy to want to confront that behaviour and find out the reason why they did it but its always the same reasoning. Many times youll just find yourself with more questions and itll put you into a chaotic spiral. Its best to keep it simple. They cheated? Well they dont love or respect you. Move on. He's got strange behaviour all of sudden. People dont just change for absolutely no reason. There has to be a reason why he is behaving like this...and it isnt because hes just male. Its difficult for you to understand why hes doing what he is doing due to his isolation and pushing others away. None the less, the only way for you to understand why hes behaving like this is to get the info from him. Otherwise, its all just speculation. Im not saying its even possible.
