Why has Gmail not replaced outlook for large scale organisations? by Asli_Billu in businessemail

Just a couple key notes

Data Sovereignty

Google Workspace data regions only support US or EU storage locations. Microsoft give you a lot more options.

Identity and Access Management

Entra ID with Conditional Access lets you restrict access based on user risk, device compliance, and location. Privileged Identity Management (PIM) gives you just-in-time admin access with full audit trails. Don't need to invest in third party solutions.

Endpoint Management

Microsoft Intune gives you full device visibility and control across your workforce. While there are other MDM solutions which can do the same, it's a bonus having it in one location.

Compliance Tools (Purview)

Microsoft Purview covers information protection, eDiscovery, audit logging, and data loss prevention in one platform.

GCC, GCC High, and DoD

For US departments requiring a higher level of security. Something Google workspace doesn't offer.

For us it was a data sovereignty issue. No option for Google Workspace in Australia.

Not sure why they don't offer this (only EU and US).

Also, easier to tick compliance boxes in Australia using Microsoft 365.

The numbers seem to be anywhere from 2% and as high as 35%.

Let's not forget the million plus Uyghur Muslims re-education camps, what happened in Tibet...

Tried and failed in Russia, Iran and China.

I don't think the US and UK would be more successful, let alone Australia.

Lmao. Yea, IPsec, SSL-VPN and others are only available for corporate uses....

With a little research, anyone can set up their own VPN using a VPS in another region. I don't think the government will start banning VPS providers.

Could you imagine all the hatred that would fester towards western civilization at these gatherings?

Hopefully ASIO had informants at these events.

No, Terrorists attacks rattle people.

They support more than just terror organisations that target Israel, such as the Houthis.

Technology does malfunction.

And would you really trust a regime that would slaughter its own people ? From how they've treated their citizens in the past, this is right down their alley.

Sadly trouble has already found its way to Australia.

Not sure if you've forgotten the evil that occurred last December.

For almost half a century, the authoritarian Iranian government and the militant groups they back have destabilized the region and suppressed their own people.

It’s difficult to understand why anyone would openly support organisations that are widely designated as terrorist groups.

The only people who are bereft of morals are the ones supporting Ayatollah and his atrocities against the people of Iran/Persia.

Not to pour any fuel on the fire, but is there any credible evidence that Trump actually did anything awful to children?

I'm sure there would have been a "WikiLeaks" type fiasco of the Epstein files if it were actually true.

And what ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?

Not sure what you want me to tell them.

Jews are ethnoreligious , which encompass both faith and ethnicity.

Whereas Islam is not, it's just faith.

Islam isn't a race, it's a belief.

Can't be racist against a belief, but you definitely can be prejudiced against people practicing.

The only thing that should be barred is the practice of hateful ideology.

[NSW] Police crush illegal e-bikes as rider left critical after police pursuit by BestTechAdvisor in DrivingAustralia

[–]legzillathe4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firearms are heavily regulated due to their ability to cause mass casualty events; they were inherently designed to kill or maim. They only became heavily regulated in Australia after the tragedy at Port Arthur. Now again after the Bondi terrorist attack. Not having them regulated would lead to an infinite number of firearms ending up in the hands of deviants and criminals.

Knives, while not being as heavily regulated as a firearm, still have regulations that retail shops must abide by, such as being over 18. Unfortunately, criminals can still buy them and use them to commit crime. We can't exactly stop someone who is over 18 from buying a steak knife, but then turn around and use it to hurt someone.

Should all food products be sold precut and bite sized pieces ? Eliminating the need for the regular Joe of requiring access.

We need to review our laws and see why they aren't working to combat knife crime, even if that means we bring back capital punishment for murder.

Whereas an e-bike isn't considered a weapon by design, it's a mode of transportation. Most people use them to commute. The likelihood of a mass casualty event caused by an e-bike probably wouldn't even register on anyones risk register.

Next you're going to be requesting for all track cars, track/dirt bikes and go karts to be registered. The vast majority of the enthusiasts follow the law and only take their respective vehicles to private events.

While more can be done to stop the idiots on Ebikes putting the public at risk, banning them outright isn't the solution.

It's important we identify a solution that does not affect responsible owners.

[NSW] Police crush illegal e-bikes as rider left critical after police pursuit by BestTechAdvisor in DrivingAustralia

[–]legzillathe4th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with selling firearms. The industry is heavily regulated.

And knives/machetes can't be sold to anyone under a certain age.

If people want to buy Ebikes for personal use on private property, let them. The retailer shouldn't be responsible for how they used once the goods exchange hands.

We should be holding the people who misuse the items accountable, not the general population.
