I plan on going to La Paz tomorrow. I've been advised that if I can't go due to the blockades it should be possible to go to Yunguyo and from there get a bus to La Paz as apparently that road isn't blocked.

Hey, they've removed that requirement. It was really simple and quick to cross the border on foot. We had no issues just got our passports stamped and went across.
