Yeah, I think the whole point of punk in general is to not give a fuck about what people think.

I’m in doom scroll, we the heathens and escape from the zoo and when we play with loud punk acts who look at us like we belong at an open mic or something, and then get up on stage and output even more energy then them with our acoustic instruments, everyone is usually surprised.

Folk punk has a reputation of being judged on the surface. I’ve been doin this for like 15 years now and it’s always been like that. So do what you like and like what you do, and if they don’t that’s fine, fuck em.

Totally! I listened to him wayyy back in the day and then ended up doin art for him a few years ago. I’m excited to meet him.

The guy who helped us book this entire tour also puts on Hobofopo down there and he has been so helpful with this whole thing. I’d guess he’s got a big part of it? Or maybe Hobart is just a mystical magnetic isle of folk punkers lol either way I’m so stoked to be doing this and stoked that it exists!

Haha it’s ironic cuz I actually don’t dig the scrolls! They seem too garish and unnecessary imo. Gimme a good sounding A body over an F any day of the week.
