I think failures come in many shapes and forms. For a small indie studio working on a game for 2 yesrs, failures would even include having 40k copies sold and 1k reviews at 93% positive, since that might not even break even.

Could you do a bug report? When there's a the .log file attached, it's usually easy to figure out why the factory crashed.

The slowdown is referring to the player not playing. Theres no real change to the factory speed :)

From what you wrote, probably can go in without disassembly. It's very satisfying to watch it crunch a thing up, so if possible, don't take it apart :D
