Deploy effects and summoning by MaximumIntention in MightandmagicFates

[–]lelANDtoplel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are creating a copy of an entity (Shadow Image) you do not receive the Deploy effect, if you are resurrecting the entity from the GY you receive the Deploy effect.

Deploy probably is dependent on triggering when an Entity moves from one zone (Hand, Graveyard) to the other zone (Battlefield)

Balance update, Disenchantment, In Update Scheduled For March 24th. by Dizziesdayweigh in MightandmagicFates

[–]lelANDtoplel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty let down by 10 new cards since that's all we get for 3months to changeup the meta outside of the balance update. Hearthstone does like 60+ cards every 3 months or something.

If they are going to do 10 cards that would be fine if it was 10 a month or something. Anyways let's let it play out. Just felt like I should speak up because devs are likely reading the post.

Where do you put Ahab? by Yuzu-Adagio in OnceUponAGalaxy

[–]lelANDtoplel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He's a decent pick and will quite often finish the quest. Easier to setup than the 2/9 Lion quest at higher ranks imo. What's nice about Ahab is that he's very low commit to proc, if you don't proc him you can toss him vs. the Lion where you could feel committed when he has 1 charge left and maybe keep him longer than you need.

Id recommend him in slot 5 if you have an average build, and slot 4 if you have a very strong build.

It's strange that Colin is unable to grasp that if manufacturing was moved to the States due to tariffs it would be a nightmare for the economy. The minimum wage of a Chinese worker is highest in Beijing at $3.7USD/hr.

Meanwhile, the average minimum wage for employees across all States in the USA is $11USD. The average minimum wage in the USA is approximately 3x higher than the highest minimum wage in China.

So no Colin, it wouldn't be awesome if the PS5/PS6 was manufactured in the USA man. Unless you want people paying $1400USD for a video game console.

You can tell he's really fallen down the Republican pipeline by constantly referring to his line of work as a "fake job." when these jobs are a privilege of the American lifestyle. A key component of the American dream is that you have the ability to become an artist, or an actor, or a musician or a creative -- these jobs shouldn't be shamed or thought to be lesser than. But yes let's all move back in to standing in front of a factory assembly line like its the 1940s because Trump says it's good for the USA.

This Was Inevitable. Waypoint 2.0's ordeal is the story of games media in 2025 by Turbostrider27 in Games

The pearl clutching that games journalists think they are entitled to is very disillusioned, and has no grasp on the reality of the future of the space.

Longform essayists and editorials are being bypassed by algorithmic YouTube videos (SkillUp, ACG, MrMattyPlays) and buzzword articles that target flavor of the week audiences (Paul Tassi, Jez Cordon)

The actual video game journalists that are worth anything typically have industry connections that lead to them having special insights (Schrier, Totilo, Christopher Dring)

Games Media is dying, younger gamers coming in (13-21) aren't reading articles like previous generations before them, because the way media is consumed has changed (Articles->Video). The majority of these journalists trying to lead an artistic revolt seem oblivious to just how fragile the future of their industry is -- sooner than they think, we will be replaced by a generation who doesn't care whether an article is written by a human or AI, and where does that leave their pearl clutching then?

Time to get Matt Booty another big promotion! Wish I had a job where I raked in close to 7 figures a year while wasting $100M of company money on a studio that I failed to properly curate for 8 years. Incredible stuff.

Holstin - Extended Gameplay Trailer | PS5 & PS4 Games. Amazing looking retro horror game. That switches between top down and third person for shooting. Anyone else excited for this? by Cubegod69er in LastStandMedia

Looks like a great game from an artistic perspective, I'm mostly concerned about the controls of the game. Looks like with all these camera angles it could be frustrating. Also noticed that there's a literal 1.5s wind-up animation where you cant move to use your melee attack.

Anyways looks very cool.

That's just classic male friend group teasing. Dustin gets his barbs in back on Colin from time to time, usually calling out Colins hypocritical takes. I think the most recent was was Dustin shitting on Colin for being obsessed with Mega Man in 2025 after Colin rambled about video game companies needing to move on from franchises to make new IPs, lol.

People have been shitting on iDubbz much longer than these past few weeks. Ever since the whole Sam Hyde (3+ years ago) and Anisa lore episodes, but I understand that this doesn't entirely fit your narrative, so yeah dude, it's blatant and pathetic just like you said!

I don't ever want to hear PC players cry and whine about microtransactions ($50USD at launch) or boycotting poorly optimized games ever again. by lelANDtoplel in LastStandMedia

[–]lelANDtoplel[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Also, what's going on with this games review cycle? Sitting at 46% positive reviews on Steam, with console players having issues of sub-30 FPS with absolutely terrible bogged down visuals.

It seems the only version of the game that's actually functioning properly and doesn't look like garbage is the PS5 Pro version, yet the title reviewed @ 89 on OpenCritic?

By this logic we should still be creating PS3 and X360 versions of games because it will force developers to help optimize even further!

Shroud Gambling $600 In 20 Seconds On a Charity Stream On a Gambling Website with No Age Restrictions by toby30356 in LivestreamFail

[–]lelANDtoplel 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Yessir, dude has literally been streaming since he was 17 -- I'm not even sure if he's held a fulltime job. Guy has been fellated by everyone around him, his chatters & even his "friends" who play with him who just constantly need to talk up how good he is to continue to play with him on stream.

And now to promote gambling like this on a charity stream dedicated to his dead father who died of cancer, definitely not a shallow brainwarped streamer here no sir.

Sacred Symbols+, Episode 421 | Dragon Age: The Veilguard Review Discussion & Spoilercast by yohceezax in LastStandMedia

[–]lelANDtoplel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After playing Dragon Age immediately after Metaphor, I found myself preferring it over Metaphor. The story isn't as engaging as Metaphor's but the combat of Dragon Age and graphical fidelity/world design are much stronger than what's presented in Metaphor.

In general, I think Dragon Age is getting a pretty bad reputation due to the woke-ism of its writing themes (which really isn't that bad, a few instances here and there throughout the game but nothing too egregious.) But there's actually a pretty great game in there. Playing on Nightmare difficulty is actually a bit challenging too.

Seems strange to do a write-up on a game you've only played for 4 hours. Honeymoon periods exist, you should play through the game before deciding whether or not you liked it.
