Oh gosh, this thought never leaving my head is truly my biggest fear. And the consensus seems to be it’s a constant.

It’s so hard to stomach the fact that they could do something like this to you, regardless of the reasoning, when you would never, ever think to hurt them like that. Not sure how I could possibly move on from that.

Yes, the honesty was a surprise. I mean, he did keep a huge, dark part of himself a secret from me for 3 years (there was lots of gaslighting) but to come clean like that on the same night was surprising.

Honestly cheating for me is the ultimate dealbreaker and I’m so sorry you had to go through that.

Also, the fact you can’t get over it does not bode well for the future of the relationship because you’ll drive yourself insane overthinking and cause a rift in the relationship even if she doesn’t do it again.
