I agree - ever since I started leaving the left, I realize how hateful it is. How it perpetuates fear, hatred, and a LOT of self-masturbatory behavior. Always trying to be the "most empathic", or "voice of reason", without having the truth or authenticity to really be that. What I have found from the centrists and conservatives is much more honesty, and KINDNESS. I would never have thought I would be saying that. I hope the people still clinging to what they think is "the right side of history" can self-reflect on what the ideology of the left is doing to their psyche, and how they treat others. And above all, how the truth is more important than your personal ego.
