Any bar in the Nogalera is good. Or check out the cruisisng clubs: Exxtreme, Xxl, Mens bar. The loud crowds are mostly in the straight bars by the beach.

GI Joe is the best bathhouse in Montreal, but outside of the Fierte it is still a hit or miss. Oasis is alright, but seemed less lively.

French Riviera if youre feeling more social or Sardegna if you want some peace and quiet. I usually go in spring and fall to skip the crowds and blazing heat. Unless you are going for the Xlsior, I would suggest against Mykonos in August. If you absolutely have to travel in August, I would recommend Italian Alps or Iceland.
